Itinerary

The first stop where you will learn something about the history of Czech beer is near the Prague Castle, in the cosy historic pub. Great Velkopopovický Kozel (the beer from the brewery in Velké Popovice; kozel means he-goat) on tap! From here, we will go around the Prague Castle with the unique view of Prague to Malá Strana (Little Side) to the legendary pub U Hrocha. With a bit of luck, we can meet here some personalities of the Czech sport, science or policy. We will cross over the Charles Bridge to Staré město (Old Town) where we will see the very well-known pub in which the barmen pride themselves on their beer. We will end our tour in the Prague centre, in the historic cellar where the first keg of Pilsner Urquell was tapped in Prague. Demonstration of the styles of beer tapping and degustation of traditional meals serving with beer. History and local specifics.
