We will walk from Sobotka to the village Vesec, a declared rural conservation area that includes 18 log houses, and then continue to the romantic rocky valley of Plakanek, surrounded by pine forests.

We will continue on to Kost Castle which located in a magical landscape of forests and sandstone rocks, which is rightly called the Bohemian Paradise due to its outstanding natural beauty.

Kost castle is located in gracious countryside of Český ráj (Czech paradise). If you want to have better knowledge about lives of our wealthy ancestors, the best solution for you as non-experts lies not in searching through archives. More pleasant for you will be visiting one of the best preserved Gothic castles in Bohemia, in which once a year guides walk in historic costumes and cookies work in a black cuisine with historic dishes and bake traditional cakes...

Stop At: Zamek Humprecht, Sobotka 507 43 Czech Republic

The building used to be a hunting lodge. The chateau burnt out soon after it had been completed and was deserted for many years. The exterior is an interesting dominant feature of the region. At present, the interiors of the Humprecht Chateau are used for occasional exhibitions and concerts.

The tour of the chateau includes expositions on the ground floor of the chateau with black kitchens, preparation rooms and libraries, 1st floor with acoustic banqueting hall and rooms reminiscent of the use of the chateau of the Černín and Netolice families in the 17th - 19th centuries accessible from the second floor.
