Itinerary

Day 1: Cotopaxi National Park, limpiopungo Lagoon.

Stop At: Cotopaxi National Park, Ecuador
Our trip will start in the early morning, meeting at 6:45am with the guide in Quito (Meeting point will be said). Around seven we are heading along the Pan-American highway, better known as the Avenue of the Volcanoes, to the Cotopaxi National Park. A prepared Andean-style breakfast is already waiting for you, afterwards you will be driven through the pine forest and soon reach the Interpretation center, and learn about the volcano and its unique fauna and flora. Depending on the physical abilities of the group, a hike around the Limpiopungo lake is planned. He is located at 3800m, from here you will get the chance to observe the beautiful nature with its birds, while enjoying the view of the Cotopaxi.

Stop At: Cotopaxi National Park, Ecuador
Horseback Riding . After a brief riding lesson, your ride begins towards the slopes of the Cotopaxi volcano. As you travel across majestic Andean panoramas, you will see herds of wild bulls, birds and other wildlife.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 2: Visit Quilotoa Lagoon

Stop At: Laguna Quilotoa, Laguna de Quilotoa, 070701 Ecuador
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and start your trip with visiting Latacunga City at Cotopaxi Province. Another one-hour drive will us bring to the Quilotoa village, while you have the opportunity to enjoy the unique Andean scenery.
Get in touch with the Andean culture, have a look around the local town. Insert in the local community by visiting either Saquisil, Pujili or Zimbahua Indian markets. The hike downwards is waiting for us. Meanwhile, you can have stunning look of the turquoise colored Quilotoa Lagoon. Walk around this natural wonder, which is located in a still active volcano crater. From the top to the banks of the lagoon and afterwards all the way up again.
A traditional lunch will be served in a local restaurant. Our last stop before we will be heading back to Quito, will be the small town Tigua. This town got famous for their art, paintings made with chicken feather brushes over sheep hide canvas, a celebration of mountain life and craft arts which are made from the inhabits.
In the evening, arrival in Quito. ( Breakfast & Lunch included)
