4-day Galapagos Islands tour, allows you to explore the islands, just like Darwin. Swim alongside colorful fishes, sea urchins and starfish while snorkeling. You might even spot some sharks! The volcanic islands are also home to the Giant Tortoises. See these amazing reptiles as well as other creatures, including blue-footed boobies, Galapagos sea lions and marine iguanas, in their natural habitat. There are so many breathtaking sights in this natural paradise. Galapagos awaits, so let’s go island hopping!

Itinerary

Day 1: Santa Cruz Island/ Transfer in + El Chato + Twin Craters

Stop At: Reserva El Chato, Isla Santa Cruz, Puerto Ayora 200350 Ecuador
El Chato is a natural reserve located in Santa Cruz’s highlands. This reserve is known as a roaming grounds for the Galapagos Giant tortoises, which cross the reserve on their permanent migrations from the coast to the highlands, making it one of the very few places where is possible to see these enigmatic animals in their natural habitat.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Los Gemelos, Ecuador
The Twin Craters (los Gemelos in Spanish) are, in fact, not craters. These impressive holes were formed by magma (lava) domes which hardened on the outside but continued to flow on the inside, leaving huge but empty chambers that collapsed with the passing of time, creating this breathtaking scenery that resembles two pit crates.

Day 2: Uninhabited Island

Stop At: Santa Fe Island, Ecuador
You will participate in a yacht tour to an uninhabited island. That will either be Santa Fé, Plazas, Floreana. The destination will depend on availability, weekday and program of the National Park. We will let you know immediately which island is available when you book the tour. On Santa Fé and Plazas you can spot endemic land iguanas. Floreana Island has, arguably, the most interesting human history of all of the Galapagos Islands. It is the site of the first “post office”.

Day 3: Santa Cruz Island / Tortuga Bay (snorkeling)+ Charles Darwin  Research Station

Stop At: Galapagos Beach at Tortuga Bay, South-West of the town of Puerto Ayora, 200350 Ecuador
Marine Iguanas, brown pelicans and Sally Lightfoot crabs populate the beach, which is next to a brackish lagoon surrounded by the typical coastal vegetation of the islands; cacti, salt bushes, and Palo Santo (Holy Stick) trees.

Stop At: Charles Darwin Research Station, Ave Charles Darwin, Puerto Ayora 200350 Ecuador
Just northeast of Puerto Ayora is this iconic national-park site, where over 200 scientists and volunteers are involved with research and conservation efforts, the most well known of which involves a captive breeding program for giant tortoises. Paths leading through arid-zone vegetation take you past tortoise enclosures, where you can look at these Galápagos giants.

Day 4: Transfer to the airport

Stop At: North Seymour Island, Ecuador
Your  driver will take you to the Itabaca Channel, which you will cross on a ferry. Your driver will accompany you until the check-in point where your program ends with your return flight to the mainland.
