4 Days Train Of Wonder Across The Highlands

A magnificent travel from the Andes to the coast, passing by the Chimbrazo, the Chanchan river canyon and the tropical plantations. Riding through the diverse landscapes of Ecuador in two luxury cars, designed in two different styles: one Colonial and the other Republican. Equipped with a car bar, an open air terrace, lounges and a gift shop you won`t miss anything out. For the night you will be accommodated in the best hotels. Meals will be served in the train as well as in our excursion, when you will have the chance to explore the stunning nature.

Itinerary

Day 1: QUITO-LASSO

Pass By: Avenida De Los Volcanes, Riobamba Ecuador
Driving in the magic train along this beautiful scenery of the volanos of Ecuador

Stop At: Laguna de Limpiopungo, Latacunga Ecuador
Stopping at Cotopaxi National Park, to visit the Limpiogpungo Lagoon which is located in the foot of the Cotopaxi volcano

Day 2: LASSO- RIOBAMBA

Pass By: Latacunga Canton, Ecuador
Boarding the train and driving along the stunning Andes and the Yamboo Lagoon,

Stop At: Riobamba, Ecuador
After riding through the stunning Sierra Mountains, we reach the highst point of our trip the Urbina station, where we meet the last hilero of the Chimborazos! He will give us an insight of the traditions of his community. At the end we will reach our hotel in Riobamba

Day 3: RIOBAMBA- NARIZ DEL DIABLO- ALAUSI

Stop At: La Nariz del Diablo, Ecuador
Early start in the morning, from Riobamba station we take “The black Monster” along painted landscapes with colorful quinoa fields, picturesque villages. Through our way to Colta we are going to change the train for a diesel-electric machine. Another pit-stop in Guamote is planned to visit an authentic Andean market, people from various communities are coming together to negotiate with their craft arts. From Palmyra station we enter the train, this time lunch will be served here. From here a bus brings us through a short trip to Alausi. The convoy to drives us along the Nariz del Diablo an intricate system of zigzags that allow the locomotive to descend into the Sibambe valley and which, during its construction, was considered one of the most important engineering milestones in the country. We return to Alausí where we will stay in the assigned hotel and dinner.

Short stop in Alausi, to expore the town.

Day 4: ALAUSI- GUAYAQUIL

Stop At: Hacienda La Danesa Lodge, Autopista Naranjito Bucay km 67, Guayaquil 090150 Ecuador
At the Hacienda la Danesa, our next stop, can you see many plantations of banana, cocoa, pineapple, coffee and other tropical fruits. Here we get a guided tour and learn about the sowing and harvesting of Ecuadorian cacao, which is said the best in the whole world, also lunch will be served here. In San Antonio station we board the train again, our last destination Guayaquil. Here you will be transported to your hotel
