5-day Diving in Santa Cruz-Galapagos Islands

Experience this 5-day diving tour from Santa Cruz Island and enjoy diving in uninhabited islands where you will find lots of fish species and other marine animals.

Itinerary

Day 1: Day 1: Arrival transfer / Rancho el Chato / Charles Darwin Station

Stop At: Reserva El Chato, Isla Santa Cruz, Puerto Ayora 200350 Ecuador
You will be picked up at the airport by your private certified guide. Then, we will move to the Itabaca Canal and cross on a ferry. Later we will drive with the vehicle to the ranch "El Chato" in the highlands to see giant outdoor turtles. We will visit the Charles Darwin Station, which is primarily an international scientific research station located on the outskirts of Puerto Ayora.

Stop At: Charles Darwin Research Station, Ave Charles Darwin, Puerto Ayora 200350 Ecuador
Just northeast of Puerto Ayora is this iconic national-park site, where over 200 scientists and volunteers are involved with research and conservation efforts, the most well known of which involves a captive breeding program for giant tortoises.

Day 2: Day 2: DIVING TOUR: Floreana / Santa Fe or North Seymour

Stop At: Galapagos Islands, Galapagos Islands
The diving tour starts at 7:00 a.m. In our offices, here we will go to the Itabaca channel. We embark on the dive boat and go to the place of the first dive, while we do it, they introduce themselves to the divers and the Divemaster gives the information. Once the equipment is verified, the first dive is performed. At the end of the dive, snacks, juices, and water are provided to the passengers. The interval time on the surface is 60 minutes after this time has elapsed, the second dive is performed. At the end of the second dive, the boat returns to the Itabaca canal, where lunches are served on board. After lunch, passengers disembark and return to Puerto Ayora. Accommodation (Santa Cruz)

Day 3: Day 3: DIVING TOUR: North Seymour Canal / Mosquera Islet

Stop At: North Seymour Island, Ecuador
North Seymour is located in the northern part of Santa Cruz Island, there are 2 dive sites located 30 minutes from the Itabaca Canal. Site conditions: This dive site is considered for all level divers, we do 2 dives, we swim along with the current easy dive, although it can be strong currents, the perfect place to start your diving adventure in the Marine Reserve
of Galapagos. What to see Here we can see a lot of wildlife such as hammerhead sharks, white tip reef sharks, Galapagos sharks, blacktip sharks, green sea turtles, oceanic rays blanket, spotted eagle stripe, golden rays, Mobula rays, garden eels Galapagos, tropical fish, etc.

Stop At: Galapagos Islands, Galapagos Islands
Mosquera is an islet formed by rocks and sand, it is located in the channel formed between Seymour and Baltra Island, where we can find colonies of sea lions interacting with each other. Also, once you start diving, you will find several species, such as whitetip sharks, tip sharks Black, barracudas, surgeonfish, Salema, garden eels, eagle rays, diamond stripes and, if possible, hammerhead sharks.

Day 4: Day 4: DIVING TOUR: Floreana / Gordon Rock or Daphne

Stop At: Daphne Minor Island, Ecuador
Daphne Minor is an extinct volcano, on this site we find a platform that includes a small cave located approximately 6 meters deep where you can find sea turtles, white tip sharks, and rays. Along the drive, at 20 meters deep, there is a pinnacle where the variety of fish and marine species abounds, from surgeonfish and sales to giant blankets on this site.
Gordon Rocks are considered the best place to dive in the central islands, located on the east coast of Santa Cruz Island, 2 dive sites located 50 minutes from the Itabaca Canal. Site conditions: This dive site is considered for intermediate or advanced divers with at least 20 registered dives or had previously dived with us at another dive site due to strong currents and waves. What to see Gordon Rocks is a world-renowned site, where we can see large banks of hammerhead sharks, blacktip sharks, white tip reef sharks, green turtles, barracuda schools, spotted eagle striped schools, Mobula rays, fish from the reef, etc.

Day 5: Day 5: Departure transfers to the airport in Santa Cruz

Pass By: Baltra, Baltra, Galapagos Islands
Your driver will take you to the Itabaca Canal, to cross on the ferry and in the end, will accompany you until you check-in at the airport
