This short tour makes for a great 3-day escape from Quito. On the way from Quito to Baños, we’ll make stops at the stunning Cotopaxi Volcano as well as the Quilotoa Lagoon, an unbelievable turquoise lake in the caldera of an active volcano. Once in Baños, you’ll enjoy a number of wonderful activities set against a beautiful backdrop of waterfalls and tropical greenery.

Itinerary

Day 1: Road to Baños

Stop At: Chuquiragua Lodge, Ecuador
Here we will have the chance to enjoy a delicious breakfast and view the stunning Cotopaxi Volcano, one of the country's most famous sights.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Mirador Shalala, Pujili, Quilotoa 050150 Ecuador
Bus ride and visit the Toachi Canyon. Walk to Quilotoa Shalala Viewpoint to observe the stunning Quilotoa Lagoon, an unbelievable turquoise-colored lake located right inside the caldera of an active volcano.
Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Baños, Banos, Ecuador
Guided bus back to Baños.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: La Casa del Arbol, Runtun village, Banos 010151 Ecuador
Visit the famous "Swing at the End of the World" at La Casa del Árbol and take in an amazing view of the gorgeous mountain landscapes.

Free evening in Baños. Recommended activity: visit the nearby thermal baths which gave Baños its name and go for a relaxing dip in these healing pools.

Day 2: Full Day Baños

Stop At: Pailon del Diablo (Devil's Cauldron), Rio Verde - 18Km From Banos, Banos Ecuador
We'll visit the stunning Pailon del Diablo (Devil’s Cauldron), one of the most spectacular waterfalls in all of South America.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Baños, Banos, Ecuador
We'll ride a cable car over the Pastaza River and experience one of the most extraordinary sights you've ever seen, with 360 degree views of waterfalls, mountains, and beautiful jungle landscapes.

Duration: 5 hours

Day 3: Free Day Baños

Stop At: Baños, Banos, Ecuador

Stop At: Quito, Quito, Pichincha Province
Return to Quito with spectacular viewing points.
