Guano is a beautiful valley, at the foot of the southern slopes of the Igualata, has achieved fame internationally thanks to its carpets and among Ecuadorians is known for the industriousness of its people. Guano is the seat of ancient cultures. There several archaeologists and researchers have found vestiges of thousands of years ago because apparently, the Tuncahuán cultures settled here.
