our exploration into the amazon jungle of Ecuador by boat. As soon as you jump in the boat your amazon experience begins, be ready to hear the sounds of the wildlife, while you watch the scenery changing along the Cuyabeno River waters and between trees. In this boat trip you will be able to watch the birds, monkeys and other jungle creatures, accompanied by a guide who will provide information on how the animals and plant interact and balance the life within the Cuyabeno Ecosystem in which they coexist.

Itinerary

Day 1: Quito - Lago Agrio

Stop At: Termas de Papallacta, Km. 65 vía Quito - Baeza, Papallacta 150753 Ecuador

Day 2: Introduction to the Amazon Rainforest

Stop At: Cuyabeno Reserve, Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve Ecuador
our driver will pick you up at 9h45AM; for those who arrive by plane (11AM) we will greet you at the airport upon your arrival. From there the group will travel by van (approximately 2h) to the entrance of the Cuyabeno Reserve.

Day 3: Discover the Amazon Wildlife of Ecuador

Stop At: Cuyabeno Reserve, Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve Ecuador
Wake to a fascinating sunrise and the sounds of the jungle. Birds flying and chirping about our bungalows, tree frogs singing and the sound of wind gently flowing through the trees. Our exploration begins after breakfast, where we will trek upriver on the banks of the Cuyabeno River. Be on the lookout for infinite species of plants, enormous trees, aquatic vines, incredible orchids, medicinal herbs and a fantastic variety of wild animals and birds to the Ecuadorian Amazon. After your jungle trek you will be served a lovely lunch and then it’s time to relax for a bit in our Ecolodge. Relax on the hammocks with a good book or feel free to visit our famous infinity hammock located in the heart of the forest. If you are an explorer don't forget to grab the telescope and go up 20m above the forest in our birdwatching tower. After that we will go on a boat ride to Laguna Grande Lake were we will enjoy the sights of the surroundings and take a swim close of the gray and pink dolphins as they frolic in the water. Once you have enjoyed one of the most spectacular sunsets of your life, we will follow up our adventures with a night walk; where you will find plenty of opportunities for sightseeing of insects, the famous tarantula, frogs. Dinner awaits back at the lodge.

Day 4: From Cuyabeno back to Civilization

Stop At: Cuyabeno Reserve, Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve Ecuador
An early morning birdwatching activity from our massive tower, will enable us to watch the glorious Amazon birds at their most active time of day. The colors, sounds and sights of the morning are simply stunning. Breakfast will be served upon your return and then you will embark on a canoe ride up the Cuyabeno River that will bring you back to civilization. Transportation is provided from the entrance of the Cuyabeno National Park back to Lago Agrio.
