Stop At: Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado, Galapagos National Park, 120506 Ecuador

The walk from the beach to the Media Luna cone is approximately 5 km. It is important to keep in mind that the walk lasts at least 2 1/2 hours, round trip. The site is an excellent place to observe giant Galápagos tortoises in their natural environment.
The island of San Cristóbal has its own endemic species of land turtles, Geochelone chatamensis. The Semi-Natural Reserve of Giant Turtles is one of the places where you can visit this emblematic species.
The island of San Cristóbal is populated by a large number of endemic animal species, among which are: the nightingale, the lava lizard, a species of geckos and giant tortoises. All these species can be observed during your hike in the Reserve.
The vegetation here is abundant during the rainy season, such as the milkweed, the trees of palo santo and palo santo, and the matazarno, as well as many species of grasses and herbaceous annuals.

Stop At: Punta Pitt, Ecuador

Punta Pitt is located in the northeast corner of the island of San Cristóbal. The trail includes an Olympic beach of approximately 90 meters / 295 feet and a shipment that ascends to the top of a volcanic tuff hill that crosses several natural viewpoints.
The walking path is 1,400 meters / almost a mile, with an estimated time of two hours round trip.
Punta Pitt is composed of volcanic tuff substrate. The strong winds present themselves in a unique form of natural erosion.
This is the only place in the Galapagos Islands, where you can observe the species of pikemen and the species of frigates that are in the same area. The reason why there is no competition in them. Blue-footed boobies nest indoors (rarely on the cliffs), red-footed boobies nest in the bushes and masked boobies and the length of the cliffs. Another attraction is the presence of sea lions in the bay.
