Visit the famous church of Saint Simon the Tanner, the cave church. The largest church in Cairo located inside El mokkatam mountain in a small village named by zableen means garbage collectors. Inside the church Virgin Mary appeared in carved statue in ceiling without any human effort.

Your tour starts with hotel pick up at 9am, your guide will take first to visit the monastery of Saint Simon the Tanner which is located inside the mountain. The monastery consists of seven churches; all of them are carved inside the mountain.

Your guide will explain how they carved the church, how was El Mokattam Mountain was moved from the north of Cairo to the centre, enjoy some free time inside the church.
