Stop At: Bab Zuweila, Darb el Ahmar, Cairo 11511 Egypt

A) El Saleh Tala’i mosque :
The mosque of al-Salih Tala'i', built by the Fatimid vizier al-Salih Tala'i' ibn Ruzzik in 1160/554-555 AH during the caliphate of al-Fa'iz, is the second extant Fatimid mosque to be built by a vizier, the first being that of al-Aqmar.

B) Qijmas Ishaqi Mosque:
The Amir Qijmas al Ishaqi was the head of Sultan Qaytbay's stables. Between 1479 and 1481, he had the mosque built on a triangular plot that dictated the irregular plan. It is more commonly known as the mosque of Abu Huraya (or Hariba).

C)Ahmed El Mehmendar mosque:
This is the third "large mosque" (gamee) built in Egypt. It is characterized by its spacious hall (saha), its unique spiral minaret and a large collection of gypsum decoration.
Built by Ahmed Ibn Tulun in 879 (265 H), the Ibn Tulun Mosque in the Sayyedah Zeinab district has an atmosphere of tranquillity unlike that of any other mosque in the city.

D)EL Altinbugha al-Maridani mosque:
The Mosque of al-Maridani was built for Amir Altinbugha, the saqi (cup-bearer) and the son-in-law of al-Nasir Muhammad, in 1339-40. It is a hypostyle mosque with marble columns supporting pointed stone arches, and has a domed, nine-bay maqsura in front of the mihrab. The exterior facades are decorated with recessed panels crowned with stalactites. The divergence between the street alignment and the interior, which is oriented towards Mecca, is cleverly overcome by a stepped layout of the exterior.

E)Bayt Al-Razzaz palace: 1 Hour
This sprawling three story palace was originally two separate residents divided by an alley, one house dating to the fifteenth century/ninth century AH and one house dating to 1778/1192 AH. Ahmad Katkuhuda al-Razzaz acquired the entire property in the late eighteenth century, and likely joined the two houses in the early nineteenth century, creating a complex of more than 190 rooms. A passage from the southwestern corner of the courtyard of the 15th century house leads to the courtyard of the second house. The groin-vaulted stone entrance onto the Suq al-Silah, now partially collapsed, seems to have become the principal entrance to the combined properties.

F)Aqsunqur Mosque: 1 Hour
(also known as the Blue Mosque or the Mosque of Ibrahim Agha) is located in Cairo, Egypt and is one of several “blue mosques” in the world. It is situated in the Tabbana Quarter in Islamic Cairo, between Bab Zuweila and the Citadel of Saladin (Cairo Citadel.) The Aqsunqur Mosque also serves as a funerary complex, containing the mausoleums of its founder Shams ad-Din Aqsunqur, his sons, a number of children of the Bahri Mamluk sultan an-Nasir Muhammad and that of its principal restorer, Ibrahim Agha al-Mustahfizan.
