Swaziland Tigerfish and Bass Fishing Trip
Duration:Stay 4 days and fish 3 FULL DAYS. For FULLY CATERED trips. I will personally accompany you throughout your stay taking care of every fine detail along the way so it's hassle free for you. The accommodation is set in a beautiful rustic log cabin with a real bush feel but with the luxury of an air conditioned lounge along with DSTV. The cabin sleeps up to 10 people with an indoor bathroom and an outdoor bathroom. Camping facilities are also available. Fishing is boat based and 2 boats are provided per day with fuel and oil, as well as life jackets for each person on board. Throughout your adventure all your meals are prepared and served at your convenience. This includes boat snacks with a wide selection of beverages so you stay hydrated while out in the hot Afrcan sun. Being with you all the way I make sure boats are launched and moored safely as well as all necessary permits and licences are in order. Transport arrangements can also be made at an additional charge if necessary
The trip is all about fishing and we want you to have the best experience out on the water. Since fishing is boat based we only go out during the day, beginning early in the morning after a light breakfast. Each day before we launch the boats are packed with all the fishing gear, baits, snacks and drinks. Although we plan to fish everyday, launching is weather permitting and the duration of fishing per day is also weather permitting as winds can pick up in a moment's notice making it difficult to fish but more importantly DANGEROUS to continue.
Day 1: Arrive at the lodge early afternoon on Saturday. The vehicles will be unpacked for you as you relax after what might have been a long drive through Swaziland, now known as eSwathini. Depending on the arrival time lunch or tea with some treats may be served. All gear is separated per boat and groups are decided as there can only be a maximum of 3 fisherman per boat. Time permitting we may launch the boats for a quick afternoon session. The Boma fire will be lit if the group wants to sit around and chat while the braai meat is prepared for a slow dinner catching up on the day's travels. Early to bed it is for an eventful 3 DAYS fishing ahead.
Day 2 to 4: Cereals, tea, coffee, biscuits and some snacks are laid out for a light breakfast as we prepare for a day out on the water. equipment will be loaded on the boats for you while you get down as much breakfast as you can before heading out. Lunch is served on the boat along with an array of ice cold softdrinks, water and juices. Back to the lodge in the evening for a hearty dinner before retiring early to bed again. Dinners will vary each night between braais (aka BBQs) and cooked up meals.
Day 5: The last day is when we bid farewell to the lovely staff and take along with us amazing memories and new friendships. Since it is more relaxed, guests will be served a scrumptious breakfast consisting of eggs, polonies, other processed meats, teas, coffees, biscuits, cakes, cereals and other treats. The vehicles will be washed and packed for you as you freshen up and prepare for the long journey back home.
NB: If transport is arranged then details of pick up and drop off times as well as location will be communicated in detail. From Johannesburg it is usually a 6 hour journey including stops and delays at the border.
