Photography Tour | Vagar Island

Join this whole day guided tour, that begins and ends right at your hotel in Tórshavn. After leaving Tórshavn the journey takes us by the old mountain road towards Vágoy and on the way, we will make two photo stops were we can see the island of Koltur and the only prison in the Faroe Islands. We drive through the first subsea tunnel that was finished in 2002 and are now on the island of Vágoy. We drive across the whole island to the village of Gásadalur, were the famous waterfall, Múlafossur is located. We will leave the bus and walk around the village, where there will be several photo opportunities. We will visit the villages of Gásadalur, Bøur and Sandavágur and on the way we will make various photo stops, including the islet Tindhólmur and Drangarnir, which are becoming more and more famous everyday around the world. When we have visited all the villages we will head back to Tórshavn and the driver will take another route back, to make sure you will see as much as possible.

Pick up and drop off at all hotels and designated areas in Tórshavn

Stop At: Sornfelli, Faroe Islands

Photo opportunities of Norðadalsskarð and Sornsfelli (If the weather allows it)

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Sandavagur Church, Gamlivegur, Sandavagur, Vagar Island 360 Faroe Islands

Arrive in the village of Sandavágur, were we will make a stop and visit the church

Duration: 30 minutes

Pass By: Midvagur, Midvagur, Vagar Island

Drive through the village of Miðvágur, which is a village with rich history

Stop At: Lake Leitisvatn, Vagar Island Faroe Islands

Arrive at Leitisvatn and see the statue of “Nykur”, a mythical faroes figure

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Bøur, Faroe Islands

Arrive at the village of Bøur, were you will get the opportunity to walk around the village, and see the amazing views of Tindholmur and Drangarnir.

Pass By: Gasadalur Tunnel, Gasadalur, Vagar Island Faroe Islands

Drive through one of the newest tunnels on the islands, finished in 2006.

Stop At: Gasadalur, Gasadalur, Vagar Island

Arrive at the small, beautiful village of Gásadalur, where a packed lunch & beverages will be served

Stop At: Mulafossur Waterfall, Gasadalur, Vagar Island Faroe Islands

Explore the picturesque village of Gásadalur and the majestic Waterfall.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Midvagur, Midvagur, Vagar Island

Option for hiking to the "Lake above the ocean" will be given to you for an extra 350DKK
If you don't want to hike, you will be driven back to your accommodation in Tórshavn.
