Travel into the footsteps of Saint  Bernadette of Lourdes and uncover the famous places where she saw the Virgin Mary apparitions in this complete (less tiring) 2-DAY departing by bullet train from Paris.
You will have a 3-hour walking tour on your first day and after having dinner at your hotel, you can participate in the 9:00 pm torchlight procession and Rosary.
On your second day, you will have your own time for prayers and contemplation. You can attend the mass at the Grotto of the apparitions or participate in the miraculous baths. In the afternoon you will take your bullet train for your return journey to Paris

Day 1: Paris-Lourdes

Assistance at Montparnasse Train Station, where our representative will give you your train tickets and vouchers for your hotel and tours in Lourdes. Get aboard on the TGV bullet train to Lourdes, where you will be transferred to your 3-star hotel.

Enjoy your afternoon walking tour with a qualified guide touring the places associated with Saint Bernadette: The Bolly Mill where she was born, the Cochot where she received her first Holy Communion, the Parish she was baptized, the Grotto of the Apparitions, and the Basilica in her honor.

After dinner, attend the famous Evening Torchlight Procession of the Rosary:

As early as 18th February 1858, the day of the third Apparition, one of the two people accompanying Bernadette carried a candle. After this, Bernadette herself always came with a candle. The iconic Lourdes Torchlight Procession was introduced in Lourdes in 1863. Now, every day at 9 p.m. pilgrims from all over the world carry a candle to the place of the apparitions.

During the Procession, and depending on the day, the pilgrims recite the Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful or Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary.  The procession always takes place regardless of the weather.

Transfer from your hotel to Lourdes train station. Take your train from LOURDES to PARIS, arrival at Montparnasse train station and end of the tour.
