A Walk through Paris' Literary History

Beginning from the Louvre, we will walk the literary trail that spans a thousand years of Western thought, from the gothic quads of Aquinas, and Descartes, to the haunts of Voltaire, Robespierre, Napoleon and the philosophes who gave rise to revolution and the modern world. From the haunts of Picasso and Hemingway, Pound and Fitzgerald, to the existentialist cafes of Sartre and de Beauvoir, Camus and Beckett, to the publishing house that cultivated the likes of Hemingway,Joyce and the Beat Generation, we will bring to life the art and architecture, philosophy and words of modernity, as we imbibe drinks, words and the spirit of philosophers, artists, writers and poets that made Paris a singular 'moveable feast', and made for Western civilization in all its beauty, errors and promise.
