Getaway to picturesque Normandy

Normandy is an amazing area that has to be explored. The first stop of the day is Rouen, a beautiful medieval city. The day will start with an amazing view over the city and the Seine River from Sainte Catherine Hill. Then, we'll guide you through the charming old streets of the "Town of a Hundred tower-bells" and its half-timbered houses, monuments as the cathedral, the big clock, & typical market places. As we are walking, our guide will share with you a bit of history of Joan of Arc and anecdotes about the life in Rouen in centuries past. Then, we'll meet Victoire, a local grocer, to taste typical food and beverage from Normandy. After this overview of Normandy culture, we'll drive to Veules-Les-Roses, one of the most charming Normandy Villages by the beach. Here, we'll walk along the smallest river that exists in France, to reach the heart of the village & admire the amazing houses made up of bricks, very similar to the English properties, and stop for a Normandy lunch (not included). This old village is famous for its oysters & fresh fishes, and inspired a lot of famous Parisian writers and Russian painters. We'll end this getaway by the highlight of the day : the beach and the Normandy cliffs! We'll take time to walk around, enjoy the beautiful landscape, refresh our mind with Ocean air and memories before driving back to Paris
