Stop At: Musee d'Orsay, 1 Rue De La Legion d'Honneur, 75007 Paris France

Located on the banks of the Seine, in front of the Tuileries Garden, the Orsay Museum was first a railway station, built for the 1900 World's Fair. This building is, in a way, the first " work "of the Musée d'Orsay's collections which presents the art of the few decades that elapse between 1848 and 1914.

The great French architect of the time, Victor Laloux set about integrating the building with the historic district of Louvre and Tuileries. An elegant stone facade masked the modern metal structures of the interior of the station. In the 1950s, the wharves were not long enough for modern trains, the building hosted a theater. In the 1970s, it was rebuilt and transformed into a museum dedicated to the greatest artistic trends of the nineteenth and early twentieth century.

Collections
A major collection of Western art objects, the museum has an impressive compilation of paintings, sculptures, photographs and decorative arts. The Musée d'Orsay is famous all over the world for its extraordinary collection of impressionist art. It holds a large part of the most beautiful Impressionist pictorial works, such as:
Gustave Caillebotte, The Floor Planers
Gustave Courbet, The Origin of the World
Edgar Degas, The Ballet Class
Paul Gauguin, Tahitian Women
Eva Gonzalès, A Box at the Theatre des Italiens

Stop At: Propriete Caillebotte, 8 rue de Concy, 91330 Yerres France

The Caillebotte Property is a property that belonged to the family of the painter Gustave Caillebotte and his brother Martial. It is located in Yerres in Essonne. The Caillebotte stayed in this property from 1860 to 1879.

Typical of the nineteenth century, it was built in the 1830s, in the style "English", with an irregular layout. It is now open to the public and is as much a resting place as an invitation to discover a rich historical heritage: the famous ornamental factories that dot its beautiful pleasure park and have almost all been restored. The visitor can satisfy his curiosity by borrowing the steps of Gustave Caillebotte himself, since it is here, in the family resort, that the painter planted his easel in the open air, painting nearly 90 paintings in the summers of the 1870s
