Day 1: Visit Jvari Monastery on the way to Gomi Mountain and watch sun setting in clouds from "Gomismta resort"
Stop At: Jvari Church, Mtskheta Georgia
Perched on a hill high above Mtskheta is the beloved monastic temple of Jvari which is Georgian for cross. Jvari is said to be the site where St. Nino planted the sacred cross to symbolize Georgias acceptance of Christianity in the 4th century CE. The site is thought to have been used as a place of worship in pre-Christian times where pagan cults gathered in adoration of nature. The tradition of Natvris Xe still takes place on a windy slope near Jvari where patrons fasten ribbons to the Tree of Wishes in the hope that their wishes will be granted.

Stop At: Gomismta, Georgia
Gomi Mountain is a winter summer resort in Georgia. The weather conditions are rough, as such early snow covers the village from August until late May. The resort is located above 2,755 meters from the sea level. The unique location and weather makes Gomi village one of the top tourist attraction place in Europe. You can see how sun rising from the mist or setting in the waves of clouds. At this stage, there is no hotel in Gomi Mountain, on the resort there are no markets, pharmacy, parks for children, cafe, or other entertaining places. In case you decide to spend your holiday here, you should take everything with you, as this peaceful mountain is way too far from civilization. Here you can rest in the fresh airs and paradise like peace.

Day 2: In this day you will visit Motsameta Monastery and Gelati Monastery, before you get back to Tbilisi
Stop At: Motsameta Monastery, Tbilisi, Kutaisi 0172 Georgia
It is a small and very beautiful monastery with round turrets crowned with peaked tent-shaped domes. The monastery is standing above the rough Rioni river and is buried in coastal vegetation. According to the legend the monastery was constructed on the place where Muslim aggressors executed David and Konstantin Mkheidze, Georgian princes, who refused to accept Islam. In a small monastery hall on an eminence there is a big rectangular ark with the hallows of the pious princes canonized by Georgian Church . Motsameta attracts crowds of tourists with an ancient superstition: if one crawls three times under the ark and makes a wish while touching the hallows, the princes David and Konstantin will grant it. The Tsar Bagrat III reconstructed the church in the 10 th century. The building was reconstructed again in the 19 th century.

Stop At: Road to Gelati Monastery, Kutaisi 4600 Georgia
This perfectly restored outstanding monument of Georgian architecture was the centre of spiritual and scientific life of the Middle Ages, the tomb of Georgian rulers, the cult place for pilgrims. It is located 11 km from the city of Kutaisi and is under UNESCO protection as an object of cultural and historical legacy.
In fact Gelati is a rich historical architectural complex comprising the ancient monastery, the bell tower, the church and the academy set up in 1106 by the great ruler of Georgia David the Builder. Thus, Gelati was not only the spiritual centre of the country but also the largest centre of culture, history and science. David the Builder, who wanted to create a large educational centre in his country, gathered the best Georgian scientists in the academy. In Gelati there was a big and rich library, the teachers and scientists in the academy were the most educated people of the time.
