7 Days Off-road Tour in Wild Georgia

Tour includes: off-road driving on easy and middle difficulty roads, as a mountain dirt road driving and a small part of asphalt. We are

using 4x4 jeeps as: Toyota land cruiser 100 and Toyota sequoias (2005-2007) with automatic gear-box and gasoline engine type 4.7. 4

passengers in each car. Tourists will have a full equipment for driving this type of roads with the experienced mechanic and guide.

Tour is aimed to see a wild nature of Georgia and high mountains of country, we are going to see a historical, ancient and spiritual places as

well. We will have chance to see and feel local living style and traditions. Architecture and culture which is kept originally during the

centuries.

Itinerary

Day 1: Tbilisi-Shatili

Stop At: Mtskheta Church of the Holy Cross, Mtskheta Georgia
Mtskheta is a city in Mtskheta-Mtianeti province of Georgia. One of the oldest cities of Georgia, it is located approximately 20

kilometres (12 miles) north of Tbilisi at the confluence of the Aragvi river. Due to its historical significance and several cultural

monuments, the "Historical Monuments of Mtskheta" became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. As the birthplace and one of

the most vibrant centers of Christianity in Georgia, Mtskheta was declared as the "Holy City" by the Georgian Orthodox Church in

2014.

Stop At: Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Narekvavi-Mtskheta-Railway Station, Mtskheta, Georgia
The Svetitskhoveli Cathedral is an Eastern Orthodox cathedral located in the historic town of Mtskheta, Georgia, to the northwest of the Georgian capital Tbilisi. A masterpiece of the Early Middle Ages, Svetitskhoveli is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site

Jvari Monastery is a sixth century Georgian Orthodox monastery near Mtskheta, eastern Georgia. Along with other historic structures of Mtskheta, it is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO

Stop At: Shatili Medieval Fortress Village, Shatili Georgia
Shatili is a historic highland village in Georgia, near the border with Chechnya. It is located on the northern slope of the Greater Caucasus mountains, in the historical Georgian province of Upper Khevsureti, which is now part of the modern-day region of Mtskheta-Mtianeti.

Day 2: Shatili-Mutso gorge

Stop At: Mutso-castle, Mutso, Georgia
he village, almost completely abandoned more than a century ago, is a home to approximately 30 medieval fortified dwelling units arranged on vertical terraces above the Mutso-Ardoti gorge, four combat towers and ruins of several old structures and buildings. Difficult to access, the village retains original architecture, and is a popular destination for tourists and mountain trekkers. Listed, however, among the most endangered historic monuments of Georgia, a project of the rehabilitation of Mutso has been developed since 2004.

Day 3: Shatili - Khazbegi

Stop At: Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble, Georgian Military Highway, Ananuri Georgia
Ananuri is a castle complex on the Aragvi River in Georgia, about 45 miles from Tbilisi.

Stop At: Jinvali Water Reservoir, 40 km to the North from Tbilisi, Tbilisi Georgia
hinvali is a townlet in Georgia, Dusheti Municipality, on river Aragvi. It has one of the largest hydroelectric power stations in Georgia.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Pasanauri Community Centre, ს3, ფასანაური, Georgia
Pasanauri is a small town in Georgia, situated in the Dusheti district, Mtskheta-Mtianeti region.

Pasanauri lies about 90 kilometres (56 mi) north of the nation’s capital of Tbilisi, at elevation of 1,050 m. above sea level.Located on the Georgian Military Road, Pasanauri is flanked by the Aragvi River, and surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains. Average winter temperature is 0 degrees Celsius, but often falls below 10 degrees Celsius. As of the 2002 census, the townlet had a population of 1.600.

Due to its picturesque location and the proximity to nearby historical sites as well as for its mineral water, hiking routes, handcrafted items and food, Pasanauri became a popular tourist destination in the Soviet period, but suffered decay during the years of post-Soviet crisis.

Day 4: Khazbegi-Juta

Stop At: Juta Valley, Juta Georgia
The Sno valley runs southeast off the Georgian Military Highway from Achkhoti village, 4km south of Kazbegi. The small village of Juta (2150m), an outpost of the Khevsur people from over the mountains to the east, is about 15km along the mostly unpaved valley road and a starting point for some great hikes.

Stop At: Truso Gorge, Georgia
Walk (or 4X4 drive) the Truso valley - midway there is a camping with a coffee place under trees.

Day 5: Kazbegi- Tbilisi
