our route goes to the south-western part of Georgia. the tour includes one of the historic landmarks of our nation. our first destination will be the former capital of Georgia MTSKHETA, whole town is UNESCO's world heritage site. from Mtskheta we will continue our tour toward one of the ancients urban-type settlements ,,cave town Uplistsikhe''
on our first day, we will finish the tour in resort Borjomi. where we overnight.
accommodation, lunch and dinner are not included.
we will start the second tour at 10:00 am. and will visit the extreme southern borders of Georgia. in this that we have 3 destinations.

2. vardzia cave town
3. pharavani lake
the tour will finish at 19:00 in Tbilisi.

Day 1: Mtskheta - Borjomi
Stop At: Jvari Church, Mtskheta Georgia
The great church of cross - Jvari (586-604) is one of the most prominent architectural items in Georgia and the world in general.
Jvari church has one of the most exciting
views, as from the distance it looks like an ending of the mountain silhouette
there are many religious buildings in and outside Georgia with similar architecture but
you wont find any that are older and more complete than Mtskheta cross.

the ancient capital of Georgia is a place connected with the birth of the
Georgian statehood. the history of Christianity in Georgia begins in Mtskheta as well.
Due to its historical significance and several cultural monuments, the
"Historical Monuments of Mtskheta" became a UNESCO World Heritage
Site in 1994. As the birthplace and one of the most vibrant centers of
Christianity in Georgia, Mtskheta was declared as the " Holy City" by the
Georgian Orthodox Church in 2014

It is supposed to had over 700 caves in the antic times, but only 150 ones are preserved now.
Among the caves located near circles, the noteworthy is the amphitheater,
Queen Tamar's Hall, prisons, wine-presses, pharmacy and three-nave basilica.

The famous mineral spring water Borjomi which is sold in over 30 countries worldwide actually originates from the Georgian city-resort of Borjomi.
The Borjomi mineral water park is a very popular attraction with tourists who visit Borjomi. This is the place where the famous mineral water was first produced. While there you can bring your own bottles and fill them up with the mineral water which is known to be good for health. Children are also bound to have a good time, since the park also offers a variety of attractions and amusements for them to enjoy.

Day 2: Rabati castle - Vardzia caves
Stop At: Rabati Castle, Akhaltsikhe Georgia
Rabati Castle is a medieval structure in Akhaltsikhe, Georgia, which dates back to the 13th century.
A mosque, a minaret, a synagogue, a Christian church, the Jakelis Palace, a museum and a citadel are the restored antique buildings, which can be seen at the renovation site.
At present, Rabati Castle is one of Georgias national landmarks and a tourist attraction.

Cave monastery was carved in rock in the second half of the XII century at an altitude of 1
300 meters. the number of tiers themselves varies from 3 to 13. The total
the complex includes St. Mary rock-hewn church, refectory, monks cells, storage rooms, secret springs and 25
cellars with 185 pitchers found inside.

Paravani is the largest lake in Georgia, which is located in the mountains in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region, at an altitude of 2070 meters above the sea level. The lake has a volcano-tectonic origin
Lake Paravani attracts more and more ecotourism and wildlife enthusiasts. The nature is truly picturesque, especially in spring and summer when alpine meadows are covered with greenery and fragrant aromas of flowers. The lake is particularly attractive for fishing fans because it is rich in various types of fish temples, trout, carb, Chapala and others. Here you can catch the fish yourself, or try it at a local cafe.
