Discover the Architectural Heritage of Tbilisi
We start the walking tour from Georgian National Opera Theater named for Zacharia Paliashvili built Neo-Moorish style. The tour will continue to the Liberty Square which is the main square in Tbilisi surrounded mostly by the modern buildings. Later you will walk to old Tbilisi district where you can discover how European, Georgian and Asian cultures are mixed in terms of architecture. We will explore several narrow streets with colorful houses, renowned Sulfur Baths, Peace Bridge, Narikala fortress, the Jumah Mosque, Bethlehem street with typical old houses with wooden balconies, Jean Chardin street, Anchiskhati Basilica dedicated to the VIrgin Mary and several other sights in the old city. The tour will be accompanied by Kate, the host of this unique experience. Kate is a professional restoration and architect historian who will guide you through the beautiful city of Tbilisi.

Stop At: Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre, 25 Shota Rustaveli Ave, Tbilisi 0108 Georgia
We start the tour from Georgian National Opera Theater named for Zacharia Paliashvili and built in Neo-Moorish style. We will not enter the building.

We will reach the main square in Tbilisi surrounded mostly by the modern buildings.

Stop At: Old Town (Altstadt) Tbilisi, Tbilisi Georgia
In the Old Town you will see how European, Georgian and Asian cultures have mixed and created a unity. We will pass through the narrow streets with colorful houses which have vine-arbors in the courtyards. You will also see the sulfur baths which is one of the prevalent sights of the city. In addition we will see the mosque which is located nearby.

Stop At: The Bridge of Peace, Tbilisi Georgia
You will be able to see the modern architectural sight in Tbilisi. Bow-shaped steel and glass bridge spanning the Kura River connecting the old and the new parts of the town.

Stop At: Narikala Fortress, Tbilisi Georgia
Narikala fortress is located on the hill where is an orthodox church and ruins of the old fortress which dates back to 17th century. Visitors can take photos of the beautiful scenery of Tbilisi. We will also visit Tbilisi Botanical Garden where you can relax and have a short walk in nature.

Stop At: Holy Mother of God Church of Bethlehem, Old Tbilisi, Tbilisi Georgia
We will visit Upper Bethlehem - built as an Armenian church in the 18th century. On Bethlehem street you will see the typical old houses with wooden balconies. Nearby we will pass the Ateshgah, a Zoroastrian fire temple built in the 2nd century AD.

Stop At: Tbilisi Street Market, Shota Rustaveli Ave Weekend Bazzar in front of the Park, Tbilisi 0108 Georgia
You will pass the Jean Chardin street who was a French historian travelling in Georgia in 17th century.

Stop At: Sioni Cathedral Church, Tbilisi Georgia
Tbilisi Sioni Cathedral is situated in historic Sionis Kucha (Sioni Street) in downtown Tbilisi. It is Georgian Orthodox Church. The current church is based on a 13th-century version with some changes from the 17th to 19th centuries.

Anchiskhati Basilica is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and is one of the oldest buildings in the city.
