Shatili and Mutso towers
This tour is for those who wants to travel in time, who wants to learn about the life of brave warriors of Georgia. we will have dinner with local family and see how real Khevsurs live. Local host, with real, homemade food and moonshine. Overnight in a medieval tower which overlooks river Argun from the rocky cliff, unforgettable experience.
Next day we will drive to Anatory vaults, where dozens of bodies stay in piece after devastating plague. On the way we will pass other abandoned villages with large fields of cannabis, nothing wrong, cannabis from those times when it was used as a material for ropes.
Mutso complex was reconstructed in current years, some reconstruction works still undergoing, it was heavily damaged after Russian invasion in 19th century. Trail goes up to the highest point, last lonely tower we will reach via narrow rocky ridge, for inexperienced hikers real challenge, for climbers some fun. Views are incredible from this point.
Itinerary
Day 1: Tbilisi-Shatili
Stop At: Shatili Medieval Fortress Village, Shatili Georgia
Driving to the north, Jinvali water reservoir;
Scenic nature of the Central Caucasus, We will cross ridge at the elevation 2700m, most time off road.
En route visit Ethnographic Museum in Korsha (Khevsureti).
Datvisjvari pass (2676m);
Stop at Lebaiskari tower;
Shatili tower village, dozens of towers from 9th century, sightseeing around Shatili. Overnight in a medieval tower

Day 2: Mutso towers, Ardoti village
Stop At: Mutso, Mtskheta Georgia
In the morning driving to Mutso village or hike 15km (depending on request), Anatori vaults on the way,trek to towers up on the hill, lunch. Then we will continue the way up to abandoned village Ardoti. Overnight in a medieval tower
