From Munich's Central Station we take a comfortable train journey to the Bavarian Alps.

Pass By: Fussen, Fussen, Swabia, Bavaria

We arrive at the medieval city of Füssen by train. We transfer to a 10 minute shuttle bus up to the village at the base of Neuschwanstein.

We begin the story of Ludwig here at this gorgeous castle he spent most of his youth. Built in 1837.

Your guide will show you the stunning alpine lake of Alpsee where Ludwig spent many hours swimming as a young man.
