Within the city area we’ll pick you up at the place you are staying – you’ll make yourself at home in the car and enjoy your own customized Munich sightseeing tour.

The route is leading through Munich’s old town with all its famous sights: The Royal Residence Munich, the Hofbräuhaus and the Viktualienmarkt. On we go to King Ludwig I. classicist Königsplatz and to Nymphenburg Palace. Nymphenburg is a great opportunity for a short stop to take a look at this impressive palace and its park – Munich’s second largest park by the way. Next stop: the Olympic Park and the buildings of Bavarian motors works: BMW World, BMW Museum and BMW Headquarters. In Schwabing/ Max Vorstadt the buildings are lining up: Ludwig-Maximilian’s University, St. Ludwig’s Church, the Bavarian State Library or Duke Max Palace (the birthplace of the Austrian Empress “Sisi”).

On our way there we have another “must stop”: the “Eisbach Surfers” right alongside “House of Arts” housing the famous “P1” discotheque.

Königsplatz is a square in Munich, Germany. Built in the style of European Neoclassicism in the 19th century, it is a center of cultural life. The area around Königsplatz is today the home to the Kunstareal, Munich's gallery and museum quarter.

The permanent exhibition documents the history of National Socialism in Munich, the city’s special role in the Nazi system of terror and Munich’s difficulties in confronting its past after 1945. As well as the permanent exhibition, there are also a series of special exhibitions, a learning centre, a varied programme of events and various educational resources.

The palace was the main summer residence of the former rulers of Bavaria of the House of Wittelsbach.

The palace, together with its park, is now one of the most famous sights of Munich. The baroque facades comprise an overall width of about 700 metres. Some rooms still show their original baroque decoration while others were later redesigned in rococo or neoclassical style.

The Olympic Park in northern Munich is well known beyond the borders of the capital city. The unique tent architecture of the buildings and the Olympic Tower are some of Munich’s well known landmarks. After the Olympic Games in 1972, a 300-hectare-sized park was developed into a recreation center for the entire city. Joggers, cyclists, and walkers take their laps here, and swimmers do lengths in the Olympic swimming facility.

At over 50 meters (150 feet) high, the Olympic Hill towers over the park grounds and is an ideal spot to enjoy a view of the roofs of Munich and to the mountains beyond.

The Allianz Arena is a football stadium in Munich, Bavaria, Germany with a 75,000 seating capacity. Widely known for its exterior of inflated ETFE plastic panels, it is the first stadium in the world with a full colour changing exterior. Located at 25 Werner-Heisenberg-Allee at the northern edge of Munich's Schwabing-Freimann borough on the Fröttmaning Heath, it is the second-largest arena in Germany behind Westfalenstadion in Dortmund.

The Feldherrnhalle (Field Marshals' Hall) is a monumental loggia on the Odeonsplatz in Munich, Germany. Modelled after the Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence, it was commissioned in 1841 by King Ludwig I of Bavaria to honour the tradition of Bavarian Army.

In 1923, it was the site of the brief battle that ended Hitler's Beer Hall Putsch. During the Nazi era, it served as a monument commemorating the death of 16 members of the Nazi party.

With an area of 3.7 km2 (1.4 sq mi) (370 ha or 910 acres), the Englischer Garten is one of world's largest urban public parks. The name refers to its English garden form of informal landscape, a style popular in England from the mid-18th century to the early 19th century and particularly associated with Capability Brown.

Stop At: Eisbach Wave, Prinzregentenstrasse, 80538 Munich, Bavaria Germany

The Eisbach (German for "ice brook") is a small, two kilometer long, manmade river in Munich. It flows through the park known as the Englischer Garten, and is a side arm of the Isar River. A manmade wave has been created on one section.

The wave is predominantly used by surfers, and animosities of surfers towards kayakers have occasionally been reported.
