Stop At: Potsdam's Gardens, Schopenhauerstrasse, 14467 Potsdam, Brandenburg Germany

This 4 hour tour visits the key sites in Postdam as well as two of the Royal Parks.

A short walk from tthe Postdam Train station is the Alte Markt (Old Market) taking in the Stadt Schloss (City Palace), Schinkel’s Nickolaikirche (church of St Nicholas) and the Alte Rathaus (Old Town Hall).

From there the next stop is the Glienecke Brucke (the ‘Bridge of Spies’ of recent Spielberg film fame) which is followed by a walk through Frederick Wilhelm II’s Neue Garten (New Garden) executed in an English Landscape style. Within this royal park is the late 18th Century neo-classical Marmois Palais (Marble Palace) and the Schloss Cecilianhoff, the site of the Potsdam Conference.

From there we head to the Old Town, via the Russian Colony, walking through the Frederick the Great's Brandenburg Gate and then from there into the jewel of Potsdam’s crown Park San Soucci.Within the ground are numerous palaces, structures and waterways, most famously Schloss San Soucci, (Frederick the Great’s summer residence and Rococo masterpiece), the New Palace (Neue Palais), The Chinese House and the Romanesque Friedenkirche (Peace Church).
