Itinerary

The stand-up paddling is the absolute trend sport on the Leipzig waters and rightly so. Stand-up paddling is easy to learn, fun, and a great full-body workout. On the SUP tour in the Karl-Heine-Kanal you will be accompanied by an experienced tour guide. Once you have arrived, you will meet your guide and get a detailed introduction to paddling techniques.

Then it starts already. From the city harbor we drive on the Elstermühlgraben, past the villa of the famous publisher family Baedeker and the imposing Palmgarten weir, on the Stadtelster. Here we follow the river through the western districts Schleußig and Plagwitz and pass the Villa Dr. Carl Heine and Mey & Edlich, Germany's oldest, still active mail order company. The Karl-Heine-Canal begins at the colorful yarn factory in Schleußig. On this we paddle under the riverboat to the stilt house, where there is time for a breather. In the clear water of the canal, with a bit of luck, i.a. Pikes and red feathers are observed. On the way back you have the opportunity to marvel at all sights from a different angle.
