Itinerary

Get to know the unique wines of cellar master Fabian Schmidt from the different locations of the Kaiserstuhl. Due to the variety of soils, each layer gives its own stamp to the wine grown there. For this reason, the winery Bercher Schmidt intensely relies on the development of vineyard wines. In the guided wine tasting you can taste five predicate wines from first-class Kaiserstühler locations and experience their different characters:

- Oberrotweiler Käsleberg (loess and clay soil)

- Bischoffinger Rosenkranz (volcanic weathering rock with loess layer)

- Burkheimer Feuerberg (volcanic weathering rock - Tephrit)

- Bischoffinger Steinbuck (volcanic weathering rock with clay components)

- Oberrotweiler Henkenberg (volcanic weathering rock - phonolite)
