Itinerary
Day 1: Cape Coast
Stop At: Cape Coast Castle, Cape Coast Ghana
Cape Coast Castle is one of the largest of the castles built by European powers in today Ghana. It began as a trade lodge constructed by the Portuguese in 1555 on a part of the Gold Coast, which later became known as the Cape Coast. In 1653, following Swedens conquest of the Cape Coast, the Swedish Africa Company constructed a permanent wooden fortress for trade in timber and gold.
It is open to the public and is currently a historical museum with Ghanaian arts and crafts gift shop, and it is the regional headquarters of Ghana Museums and Monuments Board.

Stop At: Elmina Castle, Elmina Ghana
Elmina Castle was established by Portuguese in 1482 as São Jorge da Mina (St. George of the Mine) in Elmina, Ghana (formerly the Gold Coast). Elmina and Elmina Castle was the first trading post built on the Gulf of Guinea, so is the oldest European building in existence below the Sahara. It was first established as a trade settlement but later became one of the most important stops on the route of the Atlantic slave trade.
Today Elmina Castle is a popular historical site, and was a major filming location for Werner Herzog's 1987 drama film "Cobra Verde". It is an extremely popular destination for African American tourists seeking to connect with their heritage and a powerful reminder of the history of the slave trade.

Stop At: Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Ghana
The Park is made up of mostly undisturbed virgin rainforest and is one of the famous national parks in Ghana. It protects plant and animal treasures of the African tropical forest. Trails provide self-guided day hiking opportunities where you may sight some of the over 200 bird species represented: the parrot, bee-eaters, blue plantain-eaters, hornbills, and kingfishers. The dense vegetation provides cover for globally endangered species such as the forest elephant and bongo - the largest forest antelope, as well as various types of monkeys.
The Canopy Walkway, suspended 30 meters above the ground, provides a treetop view of the beautiful forest.

Day 2: Cape coast
Stop At: Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Ghana
Afafranto Campsite is located 200 meters from the Kakum Visitors Centre. The Afafranto camp site is ideally for visitors wanting an easily accessible forest camping experience. Tourists who want to visit this site must bring along their own tents, mosquito nets and sleeping pads (which we will provide).
There is also a Sun Bird Trail for tourists with a special interest in birds now have a new trail.

Day 3: Northern Region
Stop At: Mole National Park, Larabanga Ghana
The Mole National Park is one of Ghanas largest wildlife Park which serve as a habitat to countless and multiple animals and plant types including elephants, buffalos, and many others.

Stop At: Larabanga Mosque, Larabanga Ghana
it is a small Islamic Mosque which had its foundation naturally built with Its style and architecture different from all other mosques in the world making it a leading tourist site in the northern region of Ghana.
the Mystery Stone is another interesting tourist site in the Larabanga township: the Mystery behind the stone is that, the stone always moves back to its original resting place when it is been moved from its original place.

Mongori, 15km from Mole Ntaional Park, north of Larabanga.
it is a village that provides homestay in traditional houses, guided village walk and canoe safari.

Day 4: Northern Region
Stop At: Market, Nyohini Rd, Tamale, Ghana
Tamale central market where one can see the local way of displaying and selling of African products in different northern languages. There are also spiritual shops in the market selling magic products, talisman and many more.

Stop At: Tamale-northern Region, 3rd Avenue, Ghana
We will get the opportunity to interact with the locals and take a walk through the city of Tamale

Day 5: Ashanti Region
Stop At: Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary, Fiema, Ghana, Senya Beraku Ghana
The wildlife sanctuary offers visitors a chance to see large colony of bats, butterflies, birds, monkeys and baboons in the forest.

Day 6: Volta Region
Stop At: volta Region /Ho, Ho, Ghana
the Lake Volta estuary is a very beautiful estuary which serves as a sauce of power for the Volta people, a great fishing place and a beautiful recreational area of relaxation, picnics and beaches spots shaded by palm trees.
We will go on boat rides to tour neighboring towns

Stop At: Kalakpa Nature Reserve, Adaklu-Anyigbe Ghana
It is one of the last intact examples of Guinean bush savannah and an important part of the nations heritage. The reserve has great potential for tourism with its dramatic landscape of hills and plains, as well as good opportunities for wildlife viewing. Resident wildlife includes Buffalo, Kob, Oribi, Waterbuck, the Red River Hog and several types of monkeys, plus abundant species of birds and butterflies.

Day 7: Volta Region
Stop At: Afadjato (Mount Afadjato), Hohoe Municipal District Ghana
Its a beautiful tourist site in the Volta Region and the highest mountain in Ghana, welcoming over thousands of visitors around the world. It takes 1-2 hours to climb the mountain but also depends on the individual. We will go mountain climbing and enjoy the view of nature from the mountain top.

Stop At: Wli Waterfalls, Hohoe Ghana
The Wli Falls is known to be the longest/highest water fall in West Africa. The fall is locally known as Agumatsa waterfalls, which simply means Allow Me to Flow.it is located approximately 280km from the capital city of Ghana, Accra.
Individuals who would like to swim in the fall can do so

Stop At: Tagbo Falls, Liati Wote, Tayi Ghana
Tagbo fall is a beautiful waterfall flowing from the Ghana-Togo mountain range. The water falls down in several stages with the last stage being about 60 meters high above the earth. It is a fall near Mount Afadjato and also the highest water fall in West Africa.

Stop At: Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, Hohoe V / R, Tafi Atome Ghana
It is a forest and a habitat to over 700 Sacred Mona Monkeys population that live in a protection virgin forest which is in a U shape form. Travelers get to learn about the monkeys and also feed them. It is an interesting town observing the co-habitation of people and monkeys

Day 8: Greater Accra Region
Stop At: W.E.B. DuBois Center, 1 Circular Road, Cantonments just few meters from the US Embassy and close to Ghana International School, Accra Ghana
The center is named after William Edward Burghardt Du Bois who was an African-American civil rights activist and later became a citizen of Ghana in the 1960s. He is often known as the Father of Pan-Africanism. The centre is where he once lived with his wife and where they are now buried. It houses his personal library, a small museum with a handful of personal effects such as his graduation robes. The mausoleum is surrounded by Asante stools, a seminar room, a restaurant, a gallery, an amphitheater and a research centre for Pan-African history and culture

Stop At: Independence Square, Accra Ghana
Kwame Nkrumah commissioned the Independence Square, also known as Black Star Square, to honour the visit of Queen Elizabeth II. Independence Square is a vast, empty expanse of concrete overlooked by spectator stands which can seat about 30,000 people. The Independence Arch was an inspiration to other African countries vying for independence and the Flame of African Liberation. The roundabout before the square contains in the center, the Black Star Gate also known as the Black Star Monument which was built in 1961.
The vast area, built under Kwame Nkrumah, is designed for huge events and military marches and commercial events such as concerts and fashion shows, which take place throughout the year.

Stop At: Centre for National Culture, Accra, 28th February Road, High Street, Accra Ghana
The Centre for National Culture crafts market can also be simply known as the Arts Center. There are so many different stalls selling different varieties of Ghanaian inspired arts and crafts and this is one of the cool places to shop in Accra. There is so much to see and buy from woven Kente cloth, wooden sculptures to earrings and other fashion accessories matched with the latest in African Attire fashion from all over Ghana.

Stop At: Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, High St., Accra Ghana
Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum is also known as the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. It is the last resting place of the first President of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. This museum is dedicated to him to honour his dedication in liberating Ghana, formally known as Gold Coast, from colonial rule.
The Museum houses the personal effects and publications of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and pictures showing his life history with some of the most famous people of his time.

Stop At: Jamestown township, Unnamed Road, Hansua, Ghana
Jamestown is vibrant community where one can observe the lifestyle of the average Jamestown resident. The colonial-era lighthouse, built in the 1930s provides a great view of the city and the busy and colourful fishing harbour. One can find several boxing gyms in Jamestown as it is known to produce some of the boxing champions from Ghana. The JamesTown Cafe which is a stylish architect-owned cafe, bar and music venue can be found just across the sea. There is also the ArchiAfrika gallery opposite, which showcases African architecture and design.

This is one of the most lively parts of Accra. It is a hub of activity 24 hours a day. Many of Accra's best bars, restaurants like Buka, Frankies & Monson and shops are in Osu. Stalls line the street and hawkers hound tourists selling personalised goods, boutique shops and other made in Ghana products. There are no specific tourist sights but still remains an essential part of any visit to Ghana.

Day 9: Greater Accra Region
Stop At: Gallery 1957, Gamel Abdul Nasser Avenue Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, PMB 66 - Ministries, Accra Ghana
The gallery which is named after the year Ghana gained independence is one of the most exciting art centers in Ghana. It was founded by Marwan Zakhem in 2016, the gallery has evolved from over 15 years of private collecting. It can be found in Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City and has a curatorial focus on contemporary West African art presenting a programme of exhibitions, installations and performances by the countrys most significant artists. Gallery 1957 offers both local audiences and international visitors the opportunity to discover artists, and to gain a deeper understanding of the breadth of their practice.

This foundation is a philanthropic center of art dedicated to Ghanaian visual art, culture and heritage. It was founded to offer an artistic space for Ghanaian artists and show the skills of talented individuals to the world.

Stop At: Artists Alliance Gallery, Labadi Road, Omanye House, Accra Ghana
The Artists Alliance Gallery was established by the Ghanaian artist Ablade Glover which has over the years become one of the most important of its kind in Ghana. There are three expansive floors of art displayed in cool marble galleries. Art works by established artists, such as Owusu Ankomah and George Hughes while others are by new and upcoming artists like Ebenezer Borlabie. The art works are inspired by market, rural and urban scenes interspersed with political satires. There are also the shrouded figures and crowd scenes by Glover himself. Other art works like the Asafo flags with appliquéd and embroidered symbols, ancient strip-woven Kente cloths by the Akan and Ewe, African masks of the type that inspired Picasso and intricately carved furniture.

Day 10: Greater Accra Region

There is no better place to experience the full scale of trading and culture at the same time than in Makola Market, located in the heart of Accra. One can find so many unique Ghanaian ingredients which fill the air. This is probably one of the liveliest places in Ghana where one can so many people engaged in buying and selling. There is so much you can see and buy. Makola Market can be overwhelming, especially for first time visitors but can also provide one of the best experience you can have in Ghana.
