The Four Days Trail
This is a tour that will excite adventure lovers and show them a different side of the country. It will expose travelers to the natural environment and its occupants and most importantly, it will be a very fun trip touring communities and experiencing their culture and beliefs.
Itinerary
Day 1: Central Region
Stop At: Cape Coast Castle, Cape Coast Ghana
Cape Coast Castle is one of the largest of the castles built by European powers in today Ghana. It began as a trade lodge constructed by the Portuguese in 1555 on a part of the Gold Coast, which later became known as the Cape Coast. In 1653, following Swedens conquest of the Cape Coast, the Swedish Africa Company constructed a permanent wooden fortress for trade in timber and gold. A decade later, the fort was reconstructed in stone when the Danes seized power from the Swedish. The fort then passed through the hands of many foreign powers.
The Cape Coast Castle has served as the West African headquarters of the president of the Committee of Merchants; the seat of the British governor; and a school. It is open to the public and is currently a historical museum with Ghanaian arts and crafts gift shop, and it is the regional headquarters of Ghana Museums and Monuments Board.

Stop At: Elmina Castle, Elmina Ghana
Elmina Castle was established by Portuguese in 1482 as São Jorge da Mina (St. George of the Mine) in Elmina, Ghana (formerly the Gold Coast). Elmina and Elmina Castle was the first trading post built on the Gulf of Guinea, so is the oldest European building in existence below the Sahara. It was first established as a trade settlement but later became one of the most important stops on the route of the Atlantic slave trade.
Today Elmina Castle is a popular historical site, and was a major filming location for Werner Herzog's 1987 drama film "Cobra Verde". It is an extremely popular destination for African American tourists seeking to connect with their heritage and a powerful reminder of the history of the slave trade. The castle is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Stop At: Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Ghana
The Kakum National Park was established in 1932. Kakum National Park is a home for lovers of nature. The Park is made up of mostly undisturbed virgin rainforest and is one of the famous national parks in Ghana. It protects plant and animal treasures of the African tropical forest. Trails provide self-guided day hiking opportunities where you may sight some of the over 200 bird species represented: the parrot, bee-eaters, blue plantain-eaters, hornbills, and kingfishers. The dense vegetation provides cover for globally endangered species such as the forest elephant and bongo - the largest forest antelope, as well as various types of monkeys.
The Canopy Walkway, suspended 30 meters above the ground, provides a treetop view of the beautiful forest.
Visitor centre facilities includes a Rainforest Café provides a relaxing location for visitors to enjoy a fine meal and refreshing drinks. A percentage of purchases made by visitors is used to support local farmers.
Afafranto Campsite is located 200 meters from the Kakum Visitors Centre. The Afafranto camp site is ideally for visitors wanting an easily accessible forest camping experience. Tourists who want to visit this site must bring along their own tents, mosquito nets and sleeping pads (which we will provide).
There is also a Sun Bird Trail for tourists with a special interest in birds now have a new trail.

Day 2: Central Region
Stop At: Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Ghana
The Afafranto camp site is ideally for visitors wanting an easily accessible forest camping experience. Tourists who want to visit this site must bring along their own tents, mosquito nets and sleeping pads (which we will provide).
There is also a Sun Bird Trail for tourists with a special interest in birds now have a new trail.
The dense vegetation provides cover for globally endangered species such as the forest elephant and bongo - the largest forest antelope, as well as various types of monkeys.
There will be an early morning hiking on the hills of Kakum

There will be a walking tour in the city. We will visit their markets and beaches and also interact with natives of the town.

Accommodation included: We will continue our travel after day two's activities to Volta region. The night will be spent in a hotel in Volta.
Day 3: Volta Region
Stop At: volta Region /Ho, Ho, Ghana
the Lake Volta estuary is a very beautiful estuary which serves as a sauce of power for the Volta people, a great fishing place and a beautiful recreational area of relaxation, picnics and beaches spots shaded by palm trees.
We will go on boat rides to tour neighboring towns

Stop At: Kalakpa Nature Reserve, Adaklu-Anyigbe Ghana
It is one of the last intact examples of Guinean bush savannah and an important part of the nations heritage. The reserve has great potential for tourism with its dramatic landscape of hills and plains, as well as good opportunities for wildlife viewing. Resident wildlife includes Buffalo, Kob, Oribi, Waterbuck, the Red River Hog and several types of monkeys, plus abundant species of birds and butterflies.

Day 4: Volta Region
Stop At: Afadjato (Mount Afadjato), Hohoe Municipal District Ghana
Its a beautiful tourist site in the Volta Region and the highest mountain in Ghana, welcoming over thousands of visitors around the world. It takes 1-2 hours to climb the mountain but also depends on the individual. We will go mountain climbing and enjoy the view of nature from the mountain top.

Stop At: Wli Waterfalls, Hohoe Ghana
The Wli Falls is known to be the longest/highest water fall in West Africa. The fall is locally known as Agumatsa waterfalls, which simply means Allow Me to Flow.it is located approximately 280km from the capital city of Ghana, Accra.
Individuals who would like to swim in the fall can do so

Stop At: Tagbo Falls, Liati Wote, Tayi Ghana
Tagbo fall is a beautiful waterfall flowing from the Ghana-Togo mountain range. The water falls down in several stages with the last stage being about 60 meters high above the earth. It is a fall near Mount Afadjato and also the highest water fall in West Africa.

Stop At: Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, Hohoe V / R, Tafi Atome Ghana
It is a forest and a habitat to over 700 Sacred Mona Monkeys population that live in a protection virgin forest which is in a U shape form. Travelers get to learn about the monkeys and also feed them. It is an interesting town observing the co-habitation of people and monkeys
