West African Adventure Tours that Give Back

OWL uses travel as a vehicle for social change. Our trips are centered around authentic cultural immersion and adventure in off-the-beaten-tourist-track locations, combined with altruism. We give back 20% of all profits to grassroots development and social change groups, including locally run NGOs, to help tackle systemic issues in the country that affect the welfare of the people, wildlife and environment in the countries that we travel in. In West Africa, Europe, the Americas and Asia, we are looking to create growth opportunities for travelers through discovery, perspective-enhancing trips that open up realizations all while leaving the countries that we travel in better than when we entered them.

Itinerary

Day 1: Kakum National Park

Stop At: Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Ghana
Travelers have the option to climb on the canopy walkway in Kakum National park, which connects the treetops above the lush forest floor below, and trek to find elephants and other wildlife if they so choose.
Duration: 2 hours

Meals included:
• Lunch
Accommodation included: Ovenight at 3-5* hotels, depending on the desire of the guest.

Day 2: Cape Coast and Elmina -- the Castles

Stop At: Cape Coast Castle, Cape Coast Ghana
Travelers will be able to walk around the Cape Coast Castle and take a guided tour throughout the very turbulent and heart-wrenching history of this castle as a center of the West African slave trade, as well as walk to the bustling street fishing markets of nearby Elmina.
Duration: 3 hours
