Itinerary

Day 1: DELPHI

Stop At: Delphi, Delphi, Phocis Region, Central Greece
Inset on wide terraces along the hillside we are fortunate that the landslides of previous centuries preserved much of the ancient remains for us to witness including the 4th century BC temple of Apollo from where the Oracle spoke her prophesies along with the Castilian spring of Mythology, theatre, treasury buildings, temples of Athena and Gymnasium where athletes gathered before the Pythian games to bath in the sacred waters. During your visit to Delphi, see the physical structures associated with this incredibly long history, and learn about their rich mythology. A beautiful addition to the site is the modern museum dedicated to the finds which stretch back in time to at least 1500 BC, as well as those notably which adorned the temples & streets of the ancient city at its peak around the 4th century BC with outstanding pieces such as the Naxos Sphynx, the twin Kouroi and famous Bronze Charioteer among others.

For our Hiking trip you will meet your hiking guide to join the European E4 path which leads through the olive filled Pleastos river valley. Home to 1.5 million olive trees as well as a few local villages along the way you will enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery Greece has to offer and learn along the way about olive oil culture & cultivation. A traditional pic nic is also included and as a part of this you can sample various olives & olive oils before returning to continue your tour.

If choosing the 2-Day option you will continue north by road to Meteora. If choosing the 3-Day tour you will have the opportunity to stay in narby Galaxithi by the sea.

Day 2: GALAXITHI

Stop At: Galaxidi, Greece
If taking the 3-Day option you can take a break to relax at one of the most beautiful seaside villages in Greece by the sea and enjoy a beach trip also if you wish. Our Hotel specialises in a rich natural breakfast of local products which is also something to savour.

Day 3: METEORA

Stop At: Meteora, Meteora, Trikala Region, Thessaly
Your Hiking guide will collect you from your hotel to take you to the start of the hiking trail which ascends through the rock paths with the Monasteries at the end
Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Meteora, Meteora, Trikala Region, Thessaly
At the end of the Hike you will be free to enter one or more of the Monasteries before lunch in Kalambaka and your return to Athens
