In Central Macedonia meet also the region of Chalkidiki where the Aegean Sea penetrates deeply into the land forming three peninsulas that give the characteristic form of ‘legs’.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Stop At: SKG Thessaloniki Airport, Θεσσαλονίκη 572 00, Greece
Arrival in Thessaloniki and transfer to hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure. An optional general tour of city can be offered in the late afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Panoramic tour of Thessaloniki

Stop At: Museum of Byzantine Culture, 2 Leoforos Stratou, Thessaloniki 546 40 Greece
City tour with museum. After Breakfast an experienced guide will guide you to a panoramic tour of the city of Thessaloniki by bus. Visit the Arch, Byzantine churches, Rotonda, Saint Sofia, Egnatia, Aristotle Square. The bus will ascend the Castle over city where another world with endless beauty unfolds. Visit the Byzantine Museum with its wonderful exhibits of Makedonian and Byzantine Culture. We worship at the Church of St. Demetrios the Great Martyr and the visit the Crypt. Visit to the White Tower. In the afternoon, continue the exploration of the city center, where you will visit numerous monuments from the Byzantine period. Most interesting among them are the churches of the Transfiguration, St. Catherine and some others from the late Byzantine period. We also try to visit some newer churches with interesting new icons, murals and mosaics. Overnight return back to the hotel.

Day 3: Thessaloniki - Chalkidiki

Stop At: Kriopigi beach, Kriopigi Greece
After breakfast, we take the bus and head to Chalkidiki. Free afternoon. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 4: Day at leisure at Chalkidiki or Optional Cruise at Mount Athos

Stop At: Mount Athos The Holy Mountain, Mount Athos Greece
Mount Athos one day Cruise. An unusual day tour along the monk’s republic Athos within the scope of a restful ship trip. In Ouranoupolis the ship puts into a 2-hour stop where you have the opportunity to take your lunch in one of the numerous taverns and to enjoy ouzo. After lunch, the ship brings you again to Ormos Panagia where buses will bring you back to your hotel.

Day 7: Free day or Optional Cruse at Toroneos Gulf

Stop At: Toroneos Gulf, Afitos 63077 Greece
Toroneos Cruise ( optional ) An absolute must. A very special day for “Fun in the Sun”. An experienced captain will cross with you to the crystal waters of the Toroneos Gulf with destination the peninsula of Kassandra. Fabulous views and beautiful beaches for topping up those tans. Tickle your taste buds on our succulent BBQ on board (Greek wine included). Among the highlights of the tour are the Turtle Island (bath stop on open sea) and the Pefkochori village (free time for swimming, relaxing, exploring and shopping). A fun day out for all, and don’t forget to keep your eyes open for the dolphins, leaving you with precious moments and lasting memories.
