This tour gives you the opportunity to visit the most important archaeological sites in Peloponnese. The sites come from different eras and periods and will give you the chance to know Greece from the Neolithic Era to the middle ages, from the remains to the ancient city of Corinth and the old palaces in Mycenae to the land of the Olympic Games.

Itinerary

Day 1: Argolis tour

Stop At: Corinth Canal, Isthmia, Corinth 201 00 Greece
Our first stop will be at the Corinth Canal, which divides Peloponnese from the mainland of Greece

Stop At: Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos), Ancient Korinthos village, Corinth Greece
we will visit the archaeological site and the museum of ancient Corinth, which stands at the shadow of Acrocorinth. Before wander around ancient Corinth, the small but significant museum will give a taste of the city’s advanced civilization. The art, such as mosaics as long as ritual and everyday items show a very refined culture for you to discover. Then the art will come alive as you will walk among great architectural structures such as the temple of Apollo, and Bema, the place where St. Paul stood and talked to the people about the new religion

Stop At: Mycenae, Mycenae, Argolis Region, Peloponnese
Next stop is the acropolis of Mycenae. There you will witness one of the greatest civilizations in Europe that has its roots in the Neolithic Era. The tombs of the kings, and the remains of the walls along with the famous Gate of the Lions, stand there and amaze us for centuries

Stop At: Nafplio, Nafplio, Argolis Region, Peloponnese
Next is Nafplion where you will be able to enjoy your meal before wander around the town. Nafplion’s contribution to Greek history is that became the first capital of modern Greece. You will admire the neoclassical architecture and the Castles surround the town

Stop At: The Great Theatre of Epidaurus, Ethniki Odos Isthmou Archaias Epidavrou, Epidavros 210 52 Greece
The ancient theatre of Epidaurus located in the sacred Askleipieion astonishes the visitors with its acoustics but it also shows the Greek’s level of knowledge of the human soul

Day 2: Ancient Olympia

Stop At: Olympia, Olympia, Elis Region, West Greece
At Olympia you will wonder around the place that the first Olympic Games were taking place at first as a religious celebration and then till today as a celebration of the human body and spirit

Stop At: Archaeological Site of Olympia, Archea Olympia, Olympia 27065 Greece
the site that was sacred and dedicated to Zeus, the father of all gods and all men. Among the various buildings you will see the temple of Zeus where his famous statue was standing and the stadium of the Olympic Games that could fit 45.000 people along with the buildings where the athletes were staying and practicing. The museum is full of treasures ready for you to enjoy them to the fullest
