BMW Motorcycle Tour - Volos – Pelion

Three day unguided motorcycle tour that will lead you to some of the most famous sites in Greece. We will meet and greet you in our head offices were you will get acquainted with your BMW rental motorbike. We will do a short briefing on the tour, the itinerary and then you will take off for the moto tour. All destinations and points of interest will be uploaded to the GPS that comes with the motorcycle.

Itinerary

Day 1: Athens to Volos

Stop At: The Rooftile and Brickworks Museum N. & S. Tsalapatas, Notia Pyli, Volos 383 34 Greece
You will follow the national road all the way to Volos and you will stop in the rooftile and Brickworks Museum on the outskirts of Volos city. You will learn the history of this fully restored factory and you will see how it has affectd the economic lif ein the city. Not to be missed!

Stop At: Volos, Volos, Magnesia Region, Thessaly
Volos is one of the largest and most attractive cities in Greece as well as one of the country’s most prominent ports. The modern-day city, built near the site of ancient Iolcos, dominates the region of Magnesia from its position at the foot of Mount Pelion overlooking the Pagasetic Gulf.Do not forget to endulge in Greek delicasies in the numerous "Tsipouradika"! They are little tavernas offering meze style dishes to accompany the local 'tsipouro", a strong distilled spirit, containing 40–45% alcohol by volume and produced from either the pomace (the residue of the wine press) or from the wine after the grapes and juice have been separated. It comes in two types: pure and anise-flavoured!

Stop At: Makrinitsa, Makrinitsa, Volos, Magnesia Region, Thessaly
It is called the balcony of the Pagasetic Gulf and rightly so! Spectacular vies of the city of Volos and the Sea. Enjoy a local refreshment witness the local Pelion archi tectureand simply relax under the shafde of the century old plane tree!

Day 2: Pelion round tour

Stop At: Tsagkarada, Tsagkarada, Magnesia Region, Thessaly
You will enjoy a trully spectacular motorcycle ride starting from Mount Pelion all the way to famous Tsagkarada village! The route is trully unique following spectacular tight twisty bends leading you to some of the most beautiful beaches of the region. Mylopotamos, Papa Nero and Ntamouhari are some of them and weather permitting you should surely try one of the most refreshing swims of your life!

Stop At: Milies, Milies, Magnesia Region, Thessaly
A unique village with splendid archtecture and a magnificent old train station. Lately the train service has been restored and you may want to experience the route by hoping on for a train trip of a lifetime!

Stop At: Portaria, Portaria, Volos, Magnesia Region, Thessaly
The cosmopolitan village of Pelion. Splendid cafes, restaurants and tavernas offer excellent products and services and will make you relax and enjoy a trully cosmopolitan feel

Day 3: Volos to Athens via the island of Euboea

Stop At: Euboea Region, Euboea Region, Central Greece
You will start your journey via provincial and national roads to arrive in Glyfa the harbor town in Fthiotida. You will take the ferry and relax in this 30 minute crossing towards the island of Euboea in Agiokampos
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Waterfall of Drimona, Drimona 34200 Greece
After Agiokampos you will follow a scenic motorcycle route that will take you to the Drimonas Waterfalls. The site is beautiful. The waterfall waters will refresh you if you dare to take a dive! If not a nearby coffee house will allow you to relax, enjoy the scenery and enjoy a light brunch and / or beverage

Stop At: Khalkis, Khalkis, Euboea Region, Central Greece
You will follow the road to Khalkis and witness the beautifull castle overlooking the city/ You will also view the Evripos Bridge and a unique phenomenon where the waters change direction every six hours! Maybe this is the reason we named them the "crazy waters of Khalkis!"
