Everyone has heard of the evil eye but it takes a local to explain exactly what it is! In addition, our experience will take place in a beautiful renovated old house, built in 1930's and set in an original Athenian neighbourhood, next to the city centre and metro station. We will taste greek coffee and traditional greek "koulouri" and we will talk amongst friends!

Itinerary

We will learn how to crochet the "evil eye", a traditional greek talisman. The evil eye protects your house and its inhabitants from bad luck! Either you know how to crochet or not, I will show you everything you need to make this beautiful and meaningful souvenir to take with you! I will guide you step-by-step by showing you how to hold your hook and yarn, the most basic stitches, how to work in the round and how to change colours. Plus, I will tell you everything there is to know about the evil eye tradition (what it is, what it protects us from, what the Greek orthodox church thinks about it and how to get rid from the evil eye!)
