Discover Crete Travel Experience is a group of young, self-motivated and experienced in field of Tourism team from Crete, with a long term background in this area and excellent knowledge of different cultures from all around the world.
We like traveling a lot and we always try to experience the places that we visited as a local person would!
As a result, we like to focus on activities and tours that include interactive experiences for our guests and that they are nearly impossible to be accomplished if you are not a local and with excellent knowledge of the area, the people, the activities, the roads and products which are worth seeing in Crete.
So this brings us to the ‘’Natural Cosmetics Experience’’ tour!
A tour which is designed to reveal all the secrets that olive oil holds and how it can be used in producing fine quality cosmetics and at the same time involve you in the process of creating something unique- your own cosmetic!

Itinerary

Crete is very well known for its treasure – the olive oil.
People have been using it for thousands of years in several applications such as cooking, pastry, as a fuel and in some cases even as a medicine!
Well, except using olive oil for all the above, you are about to find out that it can also be the basis of exceptional cosmetics!
So, our day will begin with a small road trip (about 30 min.) south of Heraklion where we will visit a very modern and with the highest quality standards workshop which is focused in producing soap and cosmetics based on olive oil.
There you are going to have a very interesting seminar about how to create your own cosmetics based in olive oil.
After this seminar and you will have the chance to create (under guidance and assistance) your own and unique soap or cosmetic and take it with you!
In the end of the day you can have your lunch and try out some of the local and traditional dishes in a very iconic and tavern in the area.
