Immerse yourself in ancient Greek philosophy, reviving the authentic experience, sitting on the ruins of the ancient buildings. Become a Plato’s students, through joyful activities such as dialogues, debates, role-plays and team games.

Small groups, of 15 people maximum, guarantee the highest interaction level. This non-formal education-quest is suitable for anyone over the age of 16.

Stop At: Digital Museum Plato, Alkmeonos 1, Athens 104 42 Greece

Our journey will begin right outside the exit of Plato’s Academy Digital Museum (free entrance). Inside the museum you will be navigated both in the area of Akadimia of Plato and in the "world of ideas", through multiple levels of information consisting of texts, and multimedia, including a video presentation concerning the “Allegory of the Cave”. The exhibition will be a journey back in time, preparing yourselves for ‘’meeting’’ Plato, his work and methods.

Stop At: Plato's Academy Park, West Monastiriou, Athens Greece

We will walk about 300m through the archeological park of the Academy and take our position on the ruins of the ancient Gymnasium, the place where the youngsters used to train, same place that all great philosophers preferred to gather, teaching the young people. We shall sit on the foundation stones of the ancient buildings, under shaded trees.

You will then have the opportunity to participate in dialogues and team games, as the instructor poses several ethical questions, as being another Socrates. You will this way practice yourself the Socrates maieutic art as well as the platonic dialogue techniques through specific and real-life paradigms, through exchanging opinions, beliefs, experiences and views same way the ancient Greek philosophers did.
