4. At the end of the hike we stop at a traditional Greek Kafenion up in the mountains at the village Vorion for a cold drink or coffee. We can also arrange lunch but this is not included in the price.

We approach the gorge from the Koskarga bridge and then walk uphill to the village of Gaitses.

During our six hour climb you will be more than impressed by the rich geologic features of the gorge, with its evident stratification of rocks, its burst of intense rock colour palette in perfect match with its splendid greenery.

Stop At: Mount Taygetos, Kalamata, 241 00 Greece

Ridomo gorge starts from the Taygetos ridge line and finally fades into the Messinian Bay at Sadova beach, forming the natural boundary of Western Mani. During our 4 - 5 hour climb you will be more than impressed by the rich geologic features of the gorge, with its evident stratification of rocks, its burst of intense rock colour palette in perfect match with its splendid greenery. Most of the walking is in shade conditions, which makes it perfect for a summer hike!
