The Cretan landscape and nature offers numerous naturalistic excursions.

Many visitors choose the famous Cretan Gorges that are both beautiful and accessible to different levels of difficulty.

But Leading Guests have chosen for you something unique and special, a trip that combines more elements than a simple ramble.

We suggest that you join us in visiting a traditional village, explore an old abandoned settlement with watermills wedged in the unique Milli gorge and experience Cretan Gastronomy in an organic vegetable garden.

After breakfast we will pick you up from your hotel with our Minibus, and after 30 to 40 minutes drive, we will reach the foothills of Vrissinas (being part of Cretan mountains range).

Here we will find the village of Chromonastiri among the hills, marking the beginning of our ramble. From here we walk through the village and its Venetian mansions, finding the foot path going downhill that will take us to the gorge of Milli.

A pleasant walking route, most of the time under the shade of the trees. During the excursion the experienced tour guide will talk about local stories and will help to discover secrets of Cretan flora and fauna.

40 minutes later, we will reach the old abandoned village of Milli, where we will refresh in the only café, overlooking the gorge and the sea.

We continue our course for another 90 minutes, following a well-formed path that passes through churches, ponds and ruined Venetian watermills (hence the name of the gorge)

At the exit of Milli gorge, "Bostani" is waiting for us. After a brief acquaintance-tour with the vegetable garden, we will enjoy a full meal based on our organic farm products.

We return to our hotel full of bright images and memories of a distinct aspect of Cretan nature and gastronomy.
