Los Micos Lagoon measures almost 11km at its widest point and is part of the core of the Jeannette Kawas Blanca Park. It is known for its beautiful mangroves and its biological diversity, including more than 350 bird spices. In this lagoon our guests will be able to explore the mangroves while they take a boat trip and enjoy the imposing scenery that this lagoon offers.

Itinerary

"Departing by car to the Garífuna community of Miami from Tela. We will do a unique boat tour, this tour consists of a tour starting in the second largest lagoon in the country, as well as an afternoon's stay in the most typical Garifuna town in Honduras, Miami - both located right on the edge of the ocean.
The lagoon derives its name from the white-faced monkeys or 'micos', which frequent mangroves. Laguna Los Micos is truly a paradise for amazing birdwatchers, with more than 350 sighted species. A tour of the canals and islets is rewarded with both an eco-adventure, and the opportunity to see skilled Garifuna fishermen at work. In the afternoon you can enjoy the beach and a delicious typical lunch. "
