Paradise in Cayos Cochinos
The Cayos Cochinos are made up of two small islands, Cayo Menor and Cayo Grande and 13 small coral keys, located approximately 30 kilometers northeast of La Ceiba.
The inhabitants of the communities of the archipelago and its area of influence are predominantly Garifuna, Creole or Ladino in a smaller proportion and some islanders (from the Bay Islands). Several foreigners live in the keys, as well as researchers and staff working at the foundation.
