Pico Bonito National Park at 2,435 meters above sea level is the highest peak in the coastal area from Yucatán, Mexico to Barranquía, Colombia. This tropical rainforest is the second national park in Honduras, 30 minutes west of La Ceiba.

Itinerary

"This strenuous but beautiful hike in the Pico Bonito National Park takes us to many waterfalls, the rainforest and excellent panoramic views of the mountains. Hikers have to be in good shape because we climb a mountain of about 400 meters. Wildlife more common are birds like the yellow-eared toucan; tucan kill bill, torogoz, trogons (type of birds), hummingbirds. Hopefully we could find some mammals such as coatis, white-faced monkeys and spider monkeys. "
