Saint Stephen's Basilica is the most monumental religious building of the city, with numerous statues and frescos and the oldest human hand of the world: the mummified right hand of the first Hungarian king Saint Stephen (from 1038).

Stop At: St. Anne Church, Downtown Budapest, Budapest, Szervita tér 6, 1052 Hungary

Saint Anne Church, the Baroque gem Budapest, preserved intact from the 18th Century with its amazing ornaments, a huge organ, stunning altarpieces, rich wooden pulpit and carvings. On the facade of the church a marble relief of Christ and hundreds of names commemorate the youth of the city murdered during the war.

Stop At: Budapest Inner-City Mother Church of the Blessed Virgin, Budapest, Március 15. tér, 1056 Hungary

The oldest Catholic church of Pest, the partly Medieval Gothic style Church of the Blessed Queen (Virgin Mary). This church was the scene of historical events including royal weddings. During an inside visit your guide will show you the oldest artworks of the city: colorful fresco fragments from the 14th Century, and amazing Renaissance marble carvings from the early 1500's. You can even venture into the crypt of the church where further archeological details are exhibited: antique Roman ruins (2nd Century AD) and former Medieval foundations.
