12-day Icelandic camping adventure on minibus

We have prepared for you 2 the most impressive 12-day tours. Glaciers, waterfalls, hot springs, icebergs, places of shooting Game of Thrones!

We stay at campsites, travel on our minibus Ford Transit. All food is provided (cooked by the guides). Vegetarians and vegans are also welcomed! ^.^

What makes it unique with us is that we have ALL the equipment (all the tents and sleeping bags with personal linen, utensils and other stuff) as well as a huge tent that serves as the dining room => if there is a heavy rain and wind outside you won't have to stay in your tiny tent or a car - enjoy board games with us. Our tour is not just a sightseeing, but also friendship and communication.

Itinerary

Day 1: Pick-up, hot river

Stop At: Keflavík International Airport, Keflavíkurflugvöllur, 235 Keflavík, Iceland
Optional pickup from Keflavik airport areas nearby
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Reykjadalur Hot Springs, Road No 1 to Hveragoi, Hveragerdi Iceland
We will enjoy hot river bath
Duration: 3 hours

Day 2: Geysir, Gulfoss waterfall, thermal hot spring

Stop At: Geysir, Haukadalur Iceland
We will see the famous Geysir and his young brother Strokkur
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Gullfoss Falls, Iceland
We will see one of the most beautiful waterfalls
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Hveravellir, Kjalvegur Iceland
We will enjoy hotspot that is situated among the mountains and waterfall

Day 3: Akuteyri, Godafoss, Aldeyarfoss

Stop At: Akureyri, Akureyri, Northeast Region
Visit Northern capital of Iceland

Day 4: Whale watching (optional), Grotagja, Hverir

Stop At: Husavik, Husavik, Northeast Region
In the morning (around 7-8 am) we will go to see the whales (optional), while the rest of the travelers are sleeping at the campsite

Stop At: Namafjall, Hverarond, Lake Myvatn Iceland

Stop At: Dettifoss, Iceland
Dettifoss waterfall — one of the most powerful waterfalls in Europe
Duration: 2 hours

Day 5: Bath in hot waterfall and 2 canyons

Stop At: Egilsstaðir, Iceland
We will enjoy bath in hot waterfall and visit two canyons: Studlagil and hafrahvammagljúfur

Day 6: Vatnajokull glacier, Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, Diamond Beach

Stop At: Glacier Lagoon, Skaftafell National Park Route 1, Jokulsarlon 781 Iceland
Jökulsárlón is a large glacial lake in southeast Iceland, on the edge of Vatnajökull National Park.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Vatnajokull Glacier, Vatnajokull National Park Iceland
Vatnajökull is the largest ice cap in Iceland and the third largest glacier in Europe, covering 8% of the island
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Diamond Beach, Diamond Head Drive Glacier Lagoon Jokulsarlon, Jokulsarlon Iceland
The diamond beach is a black volcanic sand beach where icebergs from the glacier lagoon drift ashore.

Day 7: Svartifoss waterfall, glacier sightseeing from a viewpoint

Stop At: Svartifoss Waterfall, Skaftafell, Vatnajokull National Park Iceland

Stop At: Vatnajokull National Park, Vatnajokull National Park, East Region
We will continue trekking to another view point, there we will see the glacier from above
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Fjadrargljufur Canyon, Route 206 3.5KM off The Ring Road, Kirkjubaejarklaustur Iceland
Visit of one more beautiful canyon

Day 8: Black sand beach, Dyrholaey, Skogafoss anc Seljalandsfoss waterfalls

Stop At: Reynisfjara Beach, Route 215, Vik Iceland

Stop At: Dyrhólaey, 871 Vik, Iceland

Very famous waterfall, must see place of Iceland

Day 9: Haifoss waterfall, Pingvellir

Stop At: Haifoss, Skalholt Iceland
Our favorite waterfall! 122 meters tall, and you can come so close to it!
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Thingvellir National Park, Thingvellir Iceland
Place, where the first Icelandic parliament was created. Two lithosphere plates also meet here: North-American and Eurasian (it is clearly visible).
We will briefly explain the story of Icelandic parliament and walk around.
Duration: 2 hours

Day 10: Extra day

Stop At: Iceland, Iceland
This day we have if we haven't seen all the places due to a bad weather or any other reason. If we have seen everything according to the program, we will go to one more sight.

Day 11: Blue lagoon, Reykjavik

Walk around Reykjavik
Duration: 4 hours

Day 12: Good-bye day, drop-off to the airport (if needed)

Stop At: Keflavik, Keflavik, Reykjanesbaer, Reykjanes Peninsula
We will be dropping all travelers to the airport. Any time of departure is fine :) you can take your time, get your luggage packed and chill at the campsite
