Agra, The city was first mentioned in the epic Mahabharata, where it was called meaning "the border of the forest"). Legend ascribes the founding of the city to Raja Badal Singh, a Sikarwar Rajput king (c. 1475), who’s fort, Badalgarh, stood on or near the site of the present fort. It is a major tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal-era buildings, most notably the Tāj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpūr Sikrī, all three of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Agra is included on the Golden Triangle tourist circuit, along with Delhi and Jaipur.

Day 1: Arrival Delhi  and drive to Agra (L)

Pickup from Hotel/Airport/Railway Station in Delhi. Adventure begins with warm welcome by our driver/representative & drive leisurely to the home town of Taj Mahal – Agra, via Yamuna Express Highway, it takes us through the beautiful countryside.

Early evening visit Mehtab Bagh — the moonlit garden (at your own expense) believed to have been designed by Shah Jahan to view the Taj on moonlit nights, far away from the maddening crowd, The garden complex is situated on the left bank of Yamuna opposite to Taj Mahal. Here you can witness the sunset over the Taj Mahal.

Overnight: Four points by Sheraton or similar

Day 2: Agra Full Day Sightseeing (B, L)

8am - Tour of the magnificent Taj Mahal (Close on Friday), a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. About 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife. It is a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone built as an expression of his love for his wife.

After Taj Mahal we visit – The Imposing Agra Fort (A Unesco World Heritage Site), Built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D, this huge fort is made of red sandstone. The elegant buildings inside reflect an interesting synthesis of Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles. The maze of the courtyards, mosques & private chambers of the fort echo the story of the Mughal Empire.

Lunch Break, Lunch will be provided at Local Restaurant.

After Lunch leave for Excursion to Fatehpur Sikri (A Unesco World Heritage Site) is 01 Hrs drive from Agra. It has been described as “the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town”. Built by Akbar in the late 16th century, it was abandoned after only 14 years, and the elegant buildings of this superb walled city remain intact to this day.

After sightseeing - Shopping in Agra is known for its fabulous handicrafts, made of marble and softstone inlay work. Empress Nur Jahan took personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work. Agra’s major handicraft products besides inlay work are: leatherware, brassware, carpets, jewellery and embroidery work.

Day 3: Agra to Delhi Depart (B, L)

After breakfast drive back to Delhi & drop at Hotel/Airport/Railway Station in Delhi.
