Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi - Shimla (360 Km/7.30 Hours)

Pass By: Shimla Heritage Walk, Shimla Heritage Zone, Shimla India
On the day of arrival at New Delhi airport, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you directly to Shimla by road. One of the most popular hill station in North India. Shimla is a town situated at an altitude of 6810 ft and is capital of an India State, Himachal Pradesh. Initially Shimla was chosen as a sanatorium for invalid European officers, but soon developed into a big hill town and became the summer capital of the India. Upon arrival check in to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: At Shimla (Excursion trip to Kufri)

Stop At: Kufri Zoo, Kufri, Himachal Pradesh 171012, India
Early in the morning, proceed to Kufri. Kufri is a destination in its own right, it has long been famous for its ski slopes and fine views. Enjoy it's backdrop of peaks covered with snow. Yak-ride will be an added attraction. In the afternoon drive back to Shimla for sightseeing. Visit Tara Devi Temple and Jakhoo Temple. Later, proceed to the Viceregal Lodge. In the evening, explore Scandal Point, Ridge, Lakkar Bazaar, Christ Church and The Mall. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Stop At: Tara Devi Temple, Taradevi India
The Tara Devi Temple is a holy place, located 11 km away from the Shimla Bus Stand. It is positioned amid a thick forest of oak and rhododendron and offers scenic views of the lofty Himalayas surrounding the town. The temple is very famous among tourists as the clean and fresh atmosphere here helps them relax from the day to day worries of life. It is believed that the goddess Tara Devi came all the way from Bengal to Himachal Pradesh and so this temple is dedicated to the goddess of stars. Tara Devi Temple is an ideal place for a person seeking peace and tranquility.

Stop At: Jakhoo Hill, 2 Km From the Ridge, Shimla India
The highest peak in Shimla, featuring an ancient temple, trees & a huge statue of Hindu God Hanuman.

Day 3: Shimla - Kullu - Manali (270 Km/7 Hours)

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Manali. On your way to Manali, visit the beautiful Kullu region of Himachal Pradesh. Later continue your drive to Manali. Upon arrival at Manali, check-in to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure, spend the rest of the day at Mall Road, a famous shopping destination in Manali. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Manali (Excursion trip to Rohtang Pass)

Stop At: Rohtang Pass, Himalayan Ranges India
After breakfast, proceed for a full day excursion of Manali. Visit Kothi Gorge, Gulaba, Marhi, Rohtang Pass (Upto Snow Line in case Rohtang is closed due to snow fall. Come back to Manali). Also visit Buddhist Monastery, Hadimba Devi temple (A small temple situated in the dense forest is very interesting), and Vashisht - an extremely picturesque little place clinging to the steep hill side, famous for its hot baths where a natural sulphar spring is piped into a modern bath-house. Evening is free at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Surrounded by pine trees and luxuriant vegetation, these water bodies are natural sulphur springs, which are believed to possess medicinal values and can cure several skin related ailments. Elegant Turkish style showers, which are connected to the springs through pipes, are fitted here for the convenience of visitors. The most prominent feature of Himalaya Nyingmapa Buddhist Temple is the enormous statue or idol of Sakyamuni in a sitting or meditative posture. Right from the entrance, the divine and tranquil vibe of the monastery can be felt.

Gulaba is a village in the State of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is 27 km away from Manali and 25 km from Rohtang pass.
