The Alternate Stays Tour along Kerala by TreeMonks not only provides a more realistic take on traveling, but also covers the natural beauty, tradition, culture – everything that defines the very essence of Kerala. The tour moves along Munnar – the lands of hills and dams, Thekkady – the spice casket of Kerala, Alleppey – the backwater paradise and finally conclude at Fort Cochin – the heritage heart of Cochin!

Day 01 Cochin → Munnar

Arrive at Cochin International Airport, heading to Munnar which is 110 k.m (3.2 hours drive). Overnight stay at Camp in Munnar. Guest can enjoy the soft trekking, lovely music, campfire and the delicious dinner at the best Tent Camps in Munnar. (Report by 3:00 p.m. at base camps)

Day 02 Munnar → Thekkady

The 2nd day of the tour takes you from the landscapes of the mountains to the tranquillity of the Jungles in Thekkady – the spice casket of Kerala
• Enjoy the delicious breakfast at the Camp after the Sunrise Trekking. After Camp Dispersion, head to explore the heartland of Munnar.
• After quick tour and Lunch at Munnar, head to Thekkady on the picturesque route. The travel is 92 k.m long and takes 3.15 hours’ drive.
• Night stay at the Wonderful Tree House in Thekkady. Experience the wilderness in the night – with ultimate essence of Thekkady right in front of you at the Tree House!
• Campfire and BBQ Dinner with music can be arranged on request with standard charges at the Tree House.

Day 03 Thekkady → Alleppey

Check-out from the Tree House after breakfast and head to explore Thekkady.
• Visit the famous Periyar Tiger Reserve of Thekkady – Home for abundant wildlife the Indian Tiger, Elephants, Bison, Deer, Sambar etc. Guests can opt for Jeep Safari, Bamboo Rafting or Boating along the Periyar Lake while at the Tiger Reserve.
• Spice Plantation Visit in Thekkady.
• After lunch, travel to the scenic waterscapes of Alappuzha. The journey is 122 k.m long and takes 3.5 hours’ drive from Thekkady.
• Enjoy the scenic route from Thekkady to Kumarakom. Stoppage at spectacular photography spots!
• Check-in at the houseboat on Arrival. Day at leisure to enjoy the beautiful backwaters of Alappuzha. Sightseeing of Kumarakom Village along the waterscapes Vembanadu Lake. Overnight stay at hotel.
• Guest can also go on Day and Night Houseboat cruise at Kumarakom for next day with additional charges.

Day 04 Alleppey → Fort Cochin

Check-out from the Houseboat in Alappuzha after breakfast and head to Fort Cochin
• The journey is 60 k.m long and takes 1.5 hours’ drive from Alappuzha.
• Visit the Hill Palace Museum in Tripunithura enroute the journey.
• After Lunch, Check-in at the Hotel in Fort Cochin.
• Fresh-up and head for Fort Cochin sightseeing.
• Explore in and around Fort Cochin - visit the Jewish Synagogue, Streets of Mattanchery, Museums, Cemeteries, Chinese Fishing Nets, Dutch Palace, Portuguese architecture and St. Francis Church etc.
• Overnight Stay at Hotel.

Day 05 Fort Cochin → Cochin

After the breakfast at the hotel, departure at own arrangements.
