Golden temple is one of the most sacred places .The temple derives its name from the fully golden dome.Guru Ram Das ,The fourth Sikh Guru of Sikhs has initially built a pool here which currently houses the temple.

It has two museums as well as the kitchen (Langar) which provide free food to anyone.

The Jallianwala Bagh is the site associated with the Indian struggle for freedom.The incident happened on 13 April 1919.When British forces lead by General Dyer killed many unarmed Indians here.

Partition Museum opened recently in the Municipal Building hosts the memories of days of Partition between India and Pakistan.During partition many people had to leave their houses both in Indian and Pakistan.Many people were killed during partition.
