The Purana Qila is an imposing fort which was built in 16th century. The fort is one of the oldest fort of Delhi. The Purana Qila is considered as the first city of Delhi. The fort originally lay on the bank of the river Yamuna before the river changed its course.

Purana Quila was built by Humayun in an attempt to build a city of his own.
